  1. Theon is still at dragonstone right? Would have thought we'd get a scene since he wanted to see Dany. Though id be all for abandoning whatever story he has left.

I don't mind the pace. I think it's because all of the characters are together in 3 groups and the plot has all 3 groups pretty much intertwined so it doesn't make sense to waste time showing them traveling and taking 3 episodes to reach a destination.

I think this has the most to do with it. We've been conditioned to getting the side plots and random stuff between major events and now there are really no characters to do that with (aside from Sam until now). Everyone is coming together so what else can you do?

I also think it's starting to feel a little predictable but that's just how shows get towards the end now. With everyone on the internet dissecting every little detail, every possible theory and prediction has been thrown out there. So when there is only a handful of episodes left, you're going to know where a lot of things are headed.

If there's something in the story I trust in it's the prophecy that Cersei was told that she will only have three children and die by her brother's hand.

the episode spent more time on Davos talking about fermented crab than it gave the Jaime/Tyrion reunion.

More time doesn't mean it has more weight or importance.

Did she mention that Cersei would die at her brother's hand on the show? I thought this was only true of the book.

yep, in that flashback scene it was just the prophesy that her kids would die and she would be replaced by someone younger (I think). They left out the whole valonqar bit

I've been surprised by pretty much every episode this season.

Somebody is not coming back from this trip beyond the wall, my guess would be Davos.

So Bronn is going to beat her face in with Jaime's golden hand?

So I just read that the letter that littlefinger leaves arya to read is the one that Sansa wrote to rob telling him to surrender to the lanisters. This is going to cause some tension for sure

Davos isn't coming with them as far as I know. I'd put Beric and Thoros as pretty sure bets to die. Tormund next most likely. Then the Hound. I'd say Jorah and Gendry are pretty safe based on just returning to the story. And obviously Jon is safe, though I could see him dying and being revived again.

Well Davos stayed inside Eastwatch, so he should probably be fine. Beric and Thoros are goners though. Tormund and Jorah are the wild cards for me

damn i was two seconds too late. But if Thoros dies, and Melisandre isnt around, then who revives Jon?

In this case yes the Tyrian scene with Jaime was in satisfying and rushed.

Which would be particularly interesting considering he's the only one who didn't go beyond the Wall.

Yep, Beric and Thoros kind of feel like Jojen when he died. Their purpose is basically served so it's the end of the line for them. But who knows, they could all miraculously make it back.

It wasn't rushed at all. It was brief but that doesn't mean it was rushed. What was there to be said even? He killed his father. It's not like either would be seeing that from a different perspective.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that from Thoros. I don't know if it's Beric, Thoros, or both, but at least one of them is dying.

Agree to disagree. I wasn't a fan. Just like I'm not a fan of Jaime and Bronn escaping with ease. Or the half baked idea of catching a wight to bring to Cersei.
