Yeah that was far from boring. I also don't even think last episode was a cliffhanger. If you thought Jaime died like that then that's on you but I'd be absolutely astounded if the showrunners intended his fate to be questioned. It was the end of the battle. The army was defeated and we were left with the fading image of what used to be the greatest warrior in the kingdom defeated.

Its on me? He was floating into black! Like how is that not on the show runners? I at least was expecting a capture/confrontation. Not some submarine or however they got so far away underwater.

Especially this late in a series. Well-tread path at this point.

I did find that pretty dumb that Jaime and Bronn ended up on the other side of a river and no one from Dany's camp even mentioned it. You'd think she'd send someone to look for the guy who almost killed her.

Only one of the seven beyond the wall that is definitely safe is Jon, but I'd be pretty surprised if either Gendry or Jorah died there

Thoros seems to be the most precarious because he's historically the one fighting with a flaming sword, but we see Beric using it

Also, we now have a reason to ship Cleganebowl, since the Hound is with a group of people planning to go to King's Landing at some point

I was hoping they'd introduce a way for this to be possible

Beric always uses the flaming sword I thought.

"Aye, dick, I'm gonna kill you" works for me.

Thoros was only mentioned having used one. So far in the show, Beric did when fighting the Hound, and in these S7 previews.

Also the clip from next week looks like actual Lord of Light magic, I always assumed Thoros was probably using some kind of oil

In the books Thoros uses it in tournaments and won the melee Robert got talked out of joining. I'm only halfway through book 2 so maybe Beric does too

If Arya falls for the letter I'm going to be super disappointed, even if she meant it that was when Sansa was more naive

I mean, I guess that's a fair point. Although in the earlier seasons it didn't seem like the people in power were able to steam roll ahead as easy.

I'm not sure why this season couldn't have been 10 episodes. Adding more to the nuance and story helping to alleviate a little of the "full speed ahead" that seems a bit jarring. Just my take.

I will say Jamie and Bronn easily getting away was a bit odd. Although that fan theory I read about Bronn is very interesting...

I really hope something interesting happens north of the wall, and not just Thoros, Beric, and Jorah dying like I am expecting. Still can't get over how insanely dumb capturing a wight is, especially with all the wights being part of the giant group with the night King it really makes zero sense.

Yeah Jamie and Bronn should have been captured

I'll forgive a show some realism and logic if it gets the characters where it's more interesting or meaningful for the story/theme/plot. Yeah Bronn and Jamie's escape was implausible. Yeah the travel times are crazy compared to earlier seasons. I don't care at all. It's not getting in the way of anything.

How would you prove that wights exist to a nation of unbelievers if not capturing one?

The maesters laughed them off. So would everyone else of power. What proof changes that besides a body or convincing every major player to go to the Wall?

They did not write Jorah a brand new story just to reintroduce him and kill him in the next episode. Stop watching the Walking Dead, guys.

    Beric is dead af though.

The cinematography and dialogue between Dany and Jorah gave very much last time they will see each other vibes to me.

I absolutely understand you somehow need to prove it, but it just seems like a total suicide mission since they're all in one giant army together.

Having Bran warg a bunch of crows to pick up one of them seems somehow like it would have a higher success rate.

If Arya doesn't kill Littlefinger by season's end, I'll give away my life savings.

I thought that the letter had to do with Jon's parentage and was a means to oust him as king in the north. It makes more sense that Littlefinger is trying to drive a wedge between Sansa and Arya, tho.

If Cersei is able to use her newly good credit to buy a faceless men assassination on Dany things could get interesting outside of the walking dead.

I think the homeboy bran will let the stark sisters know petyr is playing them and ayra kills him.
