I don't think it was as good as ep 3, to temper the hype a bit. But three was excellent and this was still very good

 

I'm still anticipating the airing of this so I can watch everyone freak the fuck out

 

debating watching this in the morning and then again tonight. i usually rewatch anyway but not sure i wanna bother to torrent it.

 

I'm psyched for tonight. Hoping we get a bit of a White walker scene.

 

The little clip HBO posted, Jaime looks scared shitless at the sound of a Dothraki horde charging his way...or he could be seeing a dragon/heard one was accompanying the horde.

 

That clip got me so fucking hyped hahah

The imgur gallery will be a beaut this week too - I've started thinking about it as I watch the show/specific scenes now haha.

 

Yeah I can't wait to discuss it too. I gave in and watched it, and kinda regret it since tonight isn't as exciting and this of all episodes needs to be seen in HD (but it's okay, I have Twin Peaks and Rick n Morty).

 

yeah I was thinking of watching the leak when I get out of work in a bit then again in HD tonight, but I have a few episodes of Twin Peaks to catch up on so I guess I'll just hold off

 

Can't waaaait. I'm fairly confident that with so little story left, there won't be a bad episode for the remainder of the series. I'm stoked for every episode even more so than last year.

That was a stellar episode.

 

Now that I can safely react:

ARYA AND BRIENNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Tyrion's "you idiot, you fucking idiot" at Jaime lol

 

Yeah that was a fucking amazing moment.

Also, Arya fighting the Walkers while riding Nymeria confirmed in my heart and now my mind. Bran giving her the Valyrian steel dagger was a huge moment.

 

Sooooooo ?

 

Absolutely stellar action filmmaking. Clearly established character and motivation, strengths and weaknesses, great moment to moment shifts in perspective and choreography. And the catharsis of finally seeing Dany riding a dragon with her Dothraki, directly into battle with them. Especially on the heels of her defeat and understanding what the Lannister/Tarly troops were escorting and why it matters to Cersei. One of the best battles the show has ever done.

 

The only thing I disliked about the episode was Jaime sitting on a glowing white horse in the middle of a warzone for practically the entire battle. No one noticed? They did this two weeks ago with Yara. It's not exclusive to the show though. I blame Spielberg.

 

That has to be a top 5 episode of the series

 

It's close and worthy of discussion for sure. If it is I think it's fifth. It doesn't top the big three battles or Red Wedding for me but it's on the level of Winds of Winter and Mountain/Viper.

 

I can't believe Danaerys went back for another swoop after her dragon already took a huge spear. It was already a slaughter. Also it seems like Jon and Danaerys keep getting closer and closer to each other with every interaction. Still can't get over those last 15 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed the massive one-take shot of Bronn running through that war zone. Reminded me a lot of Jon's in The Battle of the Bastards. Watched the previews for next week this time, and it was nice to see them bit giving too much away. Bummer only 3 episodes are left but I think the last couple are 10 and 20 minutes longer.
