I love that quote right before they're attacked too, something along the lines of a "foreign invasion" lol
I agree with all of this except the overcoming his cowardice part. I don't really remember Sam acting cowardly in this show. I'm fact, he has really been a brave member of the Night's Watch. He did take out a white walker. He even fought bravely when the Wildlings attacked the wall, when he had every chance to hide in that room with Gilly.
I loved that all of his good deeds have paid off now. He left a good impression on Jon and Sansa and basically everyone else, otherwise, they would have no real reason to trust each other. Speaking of which, I liked when Sansa objected to Jon going to Dragonstone and also how Dany was hesitant about meeting Jon. It's easy to forget that these big groups of characters don't know that other people are "good guys", so that was a reminder that they're virtually unaware of each other and their intentions. All they know is that their families were at war with each other, but their mutual trust of Tyrion is going to be the gel that holds them together.
Curious what everyone thinks will happen when Jon meets Dany? Will he bend the knee? I say he does because he has already said he didn't want the crown that he was chosen for. Plus, he needs her army and knows they won't stand a chance against the army of the dead without her. From the previews for next week: it appears as if Euron is riding through the streets of somewhere (Kings Landing, im assuming) being lauded. I guess whatever gift he went after was sufficient for Cersei. Yara? Surely there was something else.
Bruh Sam had that White Walker army roll by him and got up and ran in that direction. For like 10 hours that motherfucker ran. Let's see your punk ass run for ten hours.
I agree, he's shown his priority is to defeat the White Walkers and is willing to make sure that is done no matter what. As you said, he doesn't care to be King of The North really, so no reason why he'd want the Iron Throne itself. The main thing I thought was how many stabs Euron took in the battle, particularly one right to the cock n balls and yet he seems un-phased in the previews haha.
Pretty sure the "gift" was Ellaria Sand which is why she wasn't killed. No-brainer that Cersei would want revenge on her for killing Myrcella...also seems like Cersei could care less about Yara - that's more Euron's personal thing.
Why are we even pretending like they aren't just gonna join forces. And after that they'll craft an alliance.
On the bright side for Dany, if Yara is killed but Dany still wins, she doesn't have to give up the Iron Islands anymore
I forgot about Ellaria killing Myrcella. Wonder if she feeds her to The Mountain or decided to take care of her herself.
Yeah, Euron took some light stabs and a few jabs with the spear, but the taint stab was definitely not him
On the not bright side for the rest of us, if Yara is killed she probably won't be in the rest of the series.
