I honestly thinkthere's a chance we'd get cold hearted Arya there....I think she'd be estatic to see Jon, and Bran, but I Think she might be a little bit resentful for Sansa for being such a wimp back then. At least at first, until someone talks some sense into her.
Jon has already left Winterfell, Sansa & Arya reunion should be good, though. I think people may have been reading too much in to the dragonglass/greyscale connection? I think that page just mentions stuff about it curing some diseases in general, otherwise I think we would have seen Sam plop that same book down when he went to work. just the Ironborn ships, but I'm not sure what percentage that is. didn't the Dornish have their own ships joining Dany's last season? why did Yara have to drop the Sand Snakes off instead. 100% Jon/Arya is #1 for me, so i'm a little bummed that will be delayed.
Definitely possible, but Arya hasn't spoken to anyone in her family since season 1... I'm betting/hoping time will heal those wounds
I think the actual prince is one of two things... 1) Combo of Jon and Dany (and maybe even Tyrion) 2) Someone you don't expect....The Hound is my first guess with that. They keep alluding to finding his "purpose" for still being alive so we still need to see that before his time is over.
Episode pretty much sucked. A lot of boring duh stuff, a meaningless reunion between Arya and her dog, and like ten minutes of a battle that ranks at the bottom of the battles we're anticipating. Oh and good to know the sand snakes are actually kind of weak battle characters after all the buildup. If last week's boring episode was justified as a set up episode I think we can safely say it sucked too. Hoping for better next week.
I forgot that Nymeria was coming back, so that whole buildup I was just thinking "Hound or Jon? Which is it?"
Euron is probably the strongest living character, just saying. Also, the Sand Snakes were using a spear in close combat and a whip in something that isn't Indiana Jones. Not the smartest.
They shoulda went into their inventory and switched their weapon also put on heavy armor. That's what I always do in video games.
Also, I think that interaction between Arya and Nymeria was pretty important and I think it potentially says a lot.
Gotta make Euron look strong To be fair, the Dornish are famous for guerrilla warfare and underhanded tactics. A surprise attack by the most powerful navy in the world isn't exactly their strong point.
Episode saved. Euron is actually the most badass and the sand snakes needed to be more realistic. Who uses a whip going into battle? Anyway the ship battle was fine, the rest of the episode was a bore and ship battle wasn't interesting enough to save it.
The only part I didn't enjoy was......actually I enjoyed every bit of it. The politics with Dany's group (though I don't like Lady olenna giving her bad advice on not trusting Tyrion's advice/basically telling her to burn it all down), the politics in Kings Landing, the politics in the North, Sam trying to save Jorah, the battle, Arya getting turned back North, etc. Didn't like that she met Nymeria just to say okay you're a wild wolf now but, I get the heavy handed symbolism there. About the only thing I didn't like was Jon choking Littlefinger over a simple "Don't touch my sister!"...was really hoping when we saw that in the preview that he chokes Littlefinger for insinuating something about Ned and/or Lyanna as it pertains to parentship...
I'm not saying any of that lol. You just can't criticize something that never existed in the first place. The Sand Snakes at no point were ever regarded as the most powerful individual fighters in the world so of course they get defeated when out of their element and ambushed by the strongest fighter alive.
This episode was definitely a step down for me tho. A bit underwhelming. Just not what I was looking for to follow up the series premier.
I never said they were! I didn't say the sand snakes were the most powerful fighters, I'm simply disappointed with the buildup. I just said it was relatively meaningless and anticlimactic for over two hours of the penultimate season. It was at the end of my qualms for the last two episodes. If you liked them fine, I don't care. Just like I have no qualms with your statement of Euron being the most powerful fighter with little support for it.
