I loved Euron's scene so much. He seems to fit more than he did last season, and his character seems to stand out a bit more. Also the line of having two good hands was golden
yeah dude looked super cleaned up, a haircut and a shave worked wonders. Then again, he was trying to woo a queen..
I pumped my fist in the air as soon as I realized what was happening in that opening scene. It was definitely "fan servicey" but idgaf, it was great.
Solid episode. Lots of table setting, but that kind of thing is unavoidable (although with only 7 episodes this season, I hope they dive into the action next week). The stuff with the hound was definitely the highlight.
Premiere was great. They tastefully touched on everything, had revenge, had redemption, and had new threats introduced. Jorah's condition as of now and his location is revealed. You saw wight giants. You saw Dany finally land in Westeros after 7 seasons. Cersei is as cold as ever. Sam's chamber pot scene was humble comedy in a serious show but well done. If you are complaining about this episode then you're one of those people who are watching and waiting shallowly for action scenes. It was guUuUuuUuud.
Sheeran was a bit distracting but for me it wasn't any more distracting than seeing Argus Filch was for the first time. I'm not too bothered by it
Was not a fan of the Sheeran cameo but whatever One question I had - how was Varys with Dany and Tyrion? Thought the last time we saw him he was with Olenna and the sand Snakes
No last time we saw him was on the ship and we were asking how he got there. Here's a question - how the fuck is Gilly's kid like five now?
Just want to throw it out there, the actor who plays Littlefinger does it well. All the cuts to him during the Jon/Sansa leadership struggle, you could just see the gears moving in his facial expressions, knowing he's conniving something sneaky/maniacal/genius..
Pretty much no complaints here. Ed Sheeran is indeed awful but he barely had a role to mess up here and was fine.
I thought it was fine for a season opener. Considering how much the end of the last season shook things up, it makes sense that it was a little slower and reset all the pieces so to speak. Also, with how much blood shed and immoral behavior there is on this show, Sam's work scene was definitely the most disgusting thing I've ever seen on the show.
I didn't notice this particular scene but I have to disagree in general. He's the only character in the show that does not fit my expectations from the book in any way, and i just dislike the actor. I refer to him as 'budget' or 'poor mans' Edward Norton.
