Hmm.... I had assumed, and I don't know why, that Dany landing on Dragonstone would be the opening scene.
I was listening to the soundtrack from last season today. I can't even listen to "Hold the Door." It's rare that music ever makes me tear up, but that damn song...
THe Stark theme in general, which was a lot of the quiet sad parts of Hold The Door, is just so goddamn sad to listen to.
Ugh and now I just remembered Summer's yelping I hate that we didn't get any time with Bran to digest the loss of Hodor and Summer. THey just kinda skipped over any mourning he did for them.
Maisie Williams (Arya) on Instagram has posted about starting her now role in movies and a new production company she started. I wonder if this could be Arya's final season and this is her planning for the future? I literally am basing this off of nothing but Instagram posts and helpless waiting for Sunday, and I didn't bother to see if she's starred in anything else during her Game of Thrones stint, but I fucking hope Arya is not done this year!
Good! Now that she's finally heading home I would be pissed if we only got 7 or less episodes of her going fucking wild.
With money on the line, I would bet on Bran and Arya. I really don't think Jon survives, but I think his death will be a heroic way to save the world and give reigns to Daenerys to takeover.
I don't think Jon dies but that's entirely tied to my own definition of what I think "bittersweet" means. Bran survives and one of the Stark sisters. I want it to be Sansa.
I'm so fucking ready for Sunday. Finishing up s4 now, and probably gonna get the s6 BR today or tomorrow. Might skip s5 in my rewatch. Easily my least favorite season(dorn plot line, Sansa rape, Ramsey starting to feel one note etc.), BUT I would like to watch Hardhome again.
It just seems safe to think Daenerys wins the war this season, takes down Cersei, sits on the Iron Throne, Jon meets up, learns the truth of his parents, eventually teams up with Daenerys to fight the white walkers in season 8, Sam brings his knowledge to Jon, the dragons go crazy, some sex scenes, and the humans prevail. Even if this is the route GRRM eventually takes, I'm intrigued by the fuckery that goes down to hinder Dany/Jon from getting to this point. I also would totally route for something blowing my mind (such as Cersei defeating Daenerys somehow haha).
At this point it'd be shocking if Jaime didn't kill Cersei. All I know is Olena and Baelish are going down this year along with any other loose end, though I think that may be it.
I think Davos makes it through the season. I don't know if I feel the same about the Greyjoys though.
I hope he does. He's become one of my favorite characters. I believe Euron and possibly Theon survive the season, but my outlook on Yara isn't as optimistic.
Oh yeah, Davos is easily one of my favorite characters and has been since season three. I'm not sure what purpose Euron would serve beyond this season. Cersei too honestly. Theon and Yara are two of the most interesting characters to me so it'd be a bummer to see either go but I think it'll be Theon.
I hope Yara doesn't go, I need more scenes of her lowkey flirting with Dany. Also I hope they off Euron about as quickly as they did Doran Martell. There is nothing interesting or threatening about him compared to everything else that's going on in the world
Yeah I'm not thrilled about Euron at all. Do we really need a new villain ? I doubt they'll manage to make him as charismatic and interesting as Joffrey and Ramsay with the amount of eps left.
Euron is shit in the books too. Even Martin said it was his most shallow and uninteresting character. His brother is far more interesting.
