Can we talk about special swords for a second? Which swords are important enough to warrant a name, and which of those swords are still in play? EDIT: they are on The Red Wedding episode of the marathon right now.
Off the top of my head. the Valyrain Steel swords we know of in the show are Longclaw, House Tarly's sword that Sam stole from his father's keep, Oathkeeper, and Joffery's Sword (Widow's Wail?) that I don't think we've seen since he died. Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail were made out of House Stark's ancient Valyrian steel greatsword Ice....which still makes me mad to this day ugh. I guess House Stark will again have a VS sword with Longclaw, but I am sad it's not a greatsword lol.
Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, they show him pulling it from the wolf pelt sheath that you see in Ep 1 when Ned uses it to execute the deserter from the Night's Watch
"I can't wait to see what happens in Winterfest. I like Johnny Stork but I think his sister Anna wants it cause of that finger dude and man it was cool with that nun who was like confess and then that creepy dude and she was drinking wine and like, I like killing my husband. Anyway, did you see when winter came?" I tried to talk about Game of Thrones with a customer. Instant regret.
I still laugh at the guy who asked his dad to name all the characters and posted what he said to all their pictures. For some reason I can't not laugh at "Sensa Stark"....and it didn't help that it sounded like Roose was calling her that at the beggining of Season 6
Had a girl once say at my old job "somebody told me I look like the blonde girl from Game Of Thorns!" Yep, that's still a good laugh among my friends.
I went back and rewatched a lot of the first 3-4 seasons over the weekend. One thing I noticed that I keep forgetting about is how well Robb's rebellion was going. He had the numbers in his army, he had the full allegiance and faith from his army, he had valuable pieces to trade, and he had the reputation (never losing a battle). The two biggest mistake he made though were executing Richard Karstark and not following through on his vow to marry one of Walder Frey's daughters. I'm really curious to see how how far he would have made it if not for The Red Wedding.
I just finished my s3 re watch last night, and yeah idk. If he had just not pissed off the karstarks he could have had more people at the twins thus at the very least outnumbering the frays. Probably wouldn't have saved him though unless marrying the fray girl.
Also when did HBO GO come to PS4?! I'm so stoked! I know Now was on there, but I lost my og subscription so I had to use GO last season. I know it wasn't on there before so I was forced to watch on my laptop all of s6. So happy I can view 7 on my flatscreen.
HBO GO was made available on PS4 March 2015. HBO Now arrived September 2016 to PS4. I swear that you once used go on PS4 and complained about no now availability.
