So I've been away from the thread for awhile, but have we figured out which one will be the musical episode yet?
Has anyone heard anything regarding a theater run of the premiere? Missed out on that last time and thought for sure they'd do it again but I can't find anything so I'm not holding my breath.
They've never shown the premiere in theaters other than for like a red carpet type premiere, which it does not seem like they are doing this time around. Two years ago they showed a back to back of "Watchers on the Wall" and "The Children" with a trailer for season 5 attached at the end in IMAX for a couple weeks but that's the only time they've done that.
Oh, lammee. Thanks for the clarification though. Seems like a stupid easy way to make even more of a killing off the show.
On Se1Ep4 of the rewatch, back when the budget was tighter...Jory's costume when he's talking to Jaime outside of the King's quarters is very clearly not real leather haha
Robert's conversation with Cersei in episode 5 about how he never loved her is a great, great scene. The dialogue is spot on entirely and she is inhuman.
The part where he is talking about Lyanna Stark.. "I can't even remember what she looked like. I only know she was the one thing I ever wanted. Someone took her away from me, and Seven Kingdoms couldn't fill the hole she left behind."
Exactly it. When he asked Cersei "Does that make you feel better or worse?" and she has that stone cold look on her face when she says "it doesn't make me feel anything" I thought this is exactly the start of when I knew she was evil.
I've done several rewatches of the first season, and I guess I keep missing it, but how exactly is Cersei the one who murders Robert? I know it's said that Robert was drunk and got attacked by a wild boar while out hunting, but I never understood how Cersei arranged that. Did she just have Lancel get him drunk before hunting so it was simply a matter of time? If so, I guess I don't see how that's a "murder" on her part, just irresponsibility from Lancel and Robert.
Yep, and Lancel is rushing to his side with it encouraging him to drink. I think Ned or someone notices this.
Got ya. So it was just a matter of time before there was a "hunting accident". I swear there are some scenes I quit paying attention to, even on rewatches. I missed that multiple times.
Yeah she knew he wouldn't come back until he got a boar, and boars are dangerous as fuck even when you're sober. It was def a chance to take tho, no guarantee it would have worked. In a reality where this is isn't the best book series ever Robert survives the boar hunt and she flat out has him assassinated sparking a civil war haha
Haha that's why I put "accident" in quotes! It was just a matter of time before he actually encountered an animal, then he's done for. I knew her tactics but I didn't catch that it was spiked. If he simply got hammered and went hunting, that would have been on him.
Feature Length! Which honestly begs the question why the last two seasons aren't just 10 episode seasons like the rest then.
