This season isn't the end, for one. You can tell who is going to survive to the near end by who the producers saved. Jon, Tyrion, and Dany have had all their wrongs from the books taken out. Why? Can't risk fans hating a character that's gonna lead your show for eight years.
I'm thinking he's going to be the next big "everyone hates him" villain now that Ramsay is gone. That said, I think Yara is a goner. Most likely by his hands.
Yeah Jon Snow is not dying this season. Only way I see him dying is either the second to last or last episode of entire series to sacrifice himself for Dany/someone that isn't a White Walker. I also mentioned it before, but I so so so badly would love to see Cersei on that damn throne at the end of this season. Just imagine the hatred.
I don't know if it's this season or to start the next one, but I cannot imagine Jaime not killing Cersei. There is just about as much laid out for that as there was for Jon being Lyanna's son.
I can't wait for the assumed Jon/Arya reunion. I feel like people tend to forget how close they were supposed to be because we haven't seen them interact since Episode 2. She's still carrying Jon's gift. I mean, the reunion with all of them will be crazy, though Jon and I assume Sansa at least know Bran is alive somewhere since Sam told Jon (he told him, right? I can't remember right now)...but no one has seen or heard anything about Arya since Ep 9. I assume if The Hound is going North with the Brotherhood, he will tell Jon and Sansa that she was alive the last time he saw her.
I've started a complete re-watch of the show and I catch so many good tidbits I never did before. In the first season, I think the 4th or 5th episode, Viserys is in a bath with the women he bought to help Daenerys become more of a woman for Drogo. She tells him she may be a brothel worker, but she's "seen things." Then goes on to describe a man who changes his face like he does his clothes, a pirate who walked around covered in all his gold and sails of silk, and a man from Asshai who had a dagger of Dragonglass. All of those to some extent came into the show in later seasons.
I said "to some extent" solely because of that one since the Dragonglass daggers were found in season 2 or 3. The other two were obvious.
I don't know if anyone would be down, but I'm starting a bunch of GOT fantasy leagues with a bunch of different groups of friends, and I think it would be fun to do one with Chorus people. If anyone's down, like this/let me know, and I'll PM you the join link!
Gotcha, didn't know if I missed something. Enjoy your rewatch! I always love going back through because I feel like I pick up on new things each time (like how great the dialogue between Arya and Tywin is at Harrenhal).
Yeah sometimes I miss Tywin's presence on the show. Such a great actor and really killed it in the role.
Reminds me of another bit of foreshadowing you'll miss without a rewatch. Little finger says "some people die at their dinner table, some die in their beds, some die squatting over their chamber pots". All of which came true.
Prophecy I'm looking forward to being fulfilled this season is how Melisandre told Arya they'll meet again
