Among other things, I am very interested in the Cersei-Jamie relationship. Those characters have definitely been growing apart and Jamie's redeemable arch has been fun to watch on screen.
He has definitely redeemed himself some. I wonder if we will see him finally turn on Cersei this season.
I know it's a popular theory that he kills her since she did what he killed the Mad King for threatening to do, and I used to think so too....but at this point I assume he just straight up abandons her by the end of the season. I don't know where he'd go because I don't think he'd want to join a side that's fighting her...
That's my initial thought, but I don't think he'll want to fight against Cersei. Maybe he's convinced to go North and fight the Great War....
Jaime definitely joins the Great War. Not sure who kills Cersei but I think she's done this year. I don't see much use for her once the war starts.
If it's not the obvious murder by Jamie, I hope the Night King takes her out somehow. Edit: Reason I think it would be so satisfying to me is because she's spent her entire life trying to wipe out all of the other families to keep her own in power, so it would be great seeing her realize how pointless all of that was.
My guess is probably safer to travel beyond the wall dressed as a Wildling. Could also just be warmer lol
I mostly meant my comment to mean that Jamie went from someone the viewer probably didn't like to someone who slowly was making better decisions and even having some funny moments. Most viewers probably found themselves agreeing or cheering for him as the show progressed. In that sense his arc has been interesting to this point. On the other end, Cersei has mostly dug herself into her role and has mostly been an antagonist with few redeemable traits.
There's a major omission to the prophecy Cersei heard in the show and it concerns her death. I just wonder if the show omitted this because they're going in another direction or to just make it more surprising. The prophecy literally says who will kill her and every other piece of it has come true.
