So, another quick question for you GOT-ers vis-s-vis burning the dead to prevent them being Wights. So, if Wights can be made from skeletons that have presumably been rotted for centuries, why would anything short of incineration do anything? If the burning doesn't reduce them to dust and leaves a charred skeleton behind, why would that skeleton be resurrected like any of the other Wight skeletons?
My guess is the skeleton weights have been "resurrected" for quite some time and have just lost more and more flesh as time has gone by. Pure speculation though on my part. Could also just be part of the "magic" in that the fire burns away whatever spell the Night's King is able to cast if it's applied before the Night's King can resurrect them? I never gave it much thought really.
So I started thinking and theorizing about what we're going to see this upcoming season. It's only 7 episodes, so it's gotta concentrate on Dany conquering Westeros, and not so much the White Walker battle for the Dawn yet, right? That's what I'm thinking. Which makes me wonder what goes on up North. Are we just gonna get a bunch of non movement from Jon and the Northerners other than Littlefinger trying to drive a wedge between Sansa and Jon? I gotta assume Bran makes it to Winterfell at some point and reveals what he has seen in the Weirwoods. Where does everyone think Dany makes her initial landing? The smart money seems to be on Dorne since they are officially allied with her. She could sail around to the Reach, but I don't know why she would do that other than to conquer Casterly Rock and the West first. Stormlands seem inconsequential to the story, so no reason to go there. Dragonstone would be in the running for the symbolism, as that's where Aegon the Conqueror landed first. And it would give her a good springboard from which to launch an invasion of Kings Landing. But I also think it would make more of a statement if she "took" entire kingdoms first, ala Dorne and The Reach and the Stormlands before making it to Kings Landing. But I guess that's not as important when you already have two of the Kingdoms on your side. Dany's army+Dragons+addition of Dorne and The Reach would give her more than enough to take out Kings Landing. The only possible allies I see for the Lannisters now are the Iron Islands, since Euron seems hell bent on taking out his niece and nephew. Frey being taken out means the Riverlands will not be loyal, the Stormlands can't have that many fighting men left at this point, and Baelish has taken the the Knights of the Vale North and allied with the Northerners. It seems inevitable that Dany and Jon will meet, if not become the new King and Queen. But how does it happen? Bran HAS to get the story out that Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son. Even so, Dany is not a big fan of the Starks...when they reach Westeros, how fast does word reach Dany and Co. that Jon has declared the North an independent Kingdom and been named King in the North? Is Tyrion going to be the one to talk to Dany about the Starks and Jon in particular not being so bad? Tyrion and Jon do have a history, after all. And how does Jon convince the Northerners who just declared him King in the North that he needs to become the King Who Knelt pt. 2?? Does he march and army down the neck only to see the dragons and do it just like Torrhen did? My guess would be no, because if word gets to Jon that Dany has dragons, I would assume the first thing he would think is "uhh yeah we're gonna need those up here please". I know everyone keeps saying it's not going to happen because it's too predictable at this point and GRRM doesn't like to do predictable and cliche...but a marriage proposal between the King in the North and the Mother of Dragons seems inevitable. On a side note, does anyone think GRRM is writing slower because he's depressed the internet happened and it figured out the ending to his story and he's pissed everyone has it figured out now? lol
I've kind of given up on avoiding spoilers. I can't open up any form of social media or any website pretty much without seeing it. haha.
Maise's instagram makes me blush...and also feel weird. I know the show has "prettied up" some characters that are supposed to be super ugly in the books, I.e. Tyrion and Brienne, but Arya definitely isn't the "ugly" stark anymore lol
Those things are almost never completely right. I remember it happened last year too and some stuff was right but a lot of it was way off.
UH OH Game Of Thrones season 7 plot 'leaked' online | Daily Mail Online (Spoiler, obviously) Won't be reading.
Tom Hopper joins the cast of Game of Thrones! | Watchers on the Wall | A Game of Thrones Community for Breaking News, Casting, and Commentary This is excellent cast addition. He's great in Black Sails.
Please be the story of the Mad King/Robert's Rebellion.... I'm nervous if they try and do anything else, it wouldn't get the same ratings GOT gets and it'll get shit canned after 1 season. Though I think they should do a prequel series where each season concentrates on a certain time/event/whatever in history, but yeah.
I highly doubt it wouldn't be as popular or more than GoT. If they time it right it could be really good. Look at Better Call Saul. It has strong ratings, the second season was fantastic.
I think the prequel could be pretty great, but they are always tricky because you basically know how the story ends. I love the whole "Robert's Rebellion" story just from the history and lore videos, though, so I would definitely watch.
Her and Jon have already reunited, and the only thing that even looks new from those photos is her standing in front of that tree with the faces in Winterfell, which we already know is where Sansa is. The only person she can likely come into contact with is Arya right? Bran isn't gonna be back into the fold anytime soon.
