Yes that was said. I'm not sure if it's an actual vow or a coverup for the fact that he's dead and can't speak.
Yeah I always took it as kind of a platitude to cover up that he is unable to talk because he's an undead monster and revealing that + how Qyburn brought him back to life is basically illegal and would implicate Cersei
Ah gotcha. I kinda glossed over those scenes so I didn't really get that, ya know, resurrecting the dead was frowned up. Makes sense that it's just a cover up but I still wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be literal. Though he never did say very many words that weren't screams to begin with...
I know this isn't the book thread but it still relates... MAYBE 2017 says GRRM. This is seriously getting dumb.
I'm in the majority that believes with the show going past the books, GRRM is squirming and rewriting things to somewhat match what's going on in the show. Maybe. Or he could just be really, really slow and focusing on other things.
Or, on the flip side, trying to throw in more left turns than the show to distinguish the books from their TV counterpart.
He spent over a decade writing the first book, his publishers told him that his book was too long. That book is called Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, and Storm of Swords. It's been four years. You don't have to understand or even like the process, but let's stop pretending its a suprise.
Well, he's an older dude, how old is Howland Reed supposed to be? Also, after rewatching the series again I noticed that the Red Woman removes her necklace at least a few times before she transforms into her "actual" self. The primary, and very awesome, example is when she's talking to Selyse (Shireen's mother) while fully nude in a bath. So who knows why she transformed into that old version of herself.
If anyone follows watchersonthewall.com you'll notice that filming has commenced and locations are beginning to pop up!
Well, this would be just one of the most amazing things to ever happen. Angela Lansbury Reportedly Joining Game of Thrones
We haven't been to Highgarden (spelling?) right? Could she be Alerie Hightower, the Lady of Highgarden? I know she was on the show once when Tywin died, but since she wasn't a real character, they probably just got some stand in.
I hope her first scene is an over the shoulder shot of her writing a letter to someone where the only word we actually see written out is the last word of the letter, and it's "Murder". Boom. Emmy.
My parents are finally watching this after my brothers and I telling them to for years. Just got this text from my mom: OMG they just killed Ned Stark...I don't think I can go to work tomorrow .
