I actually kind of like the fact that only 13 episodes are left. Our conclusion has an expiration date now. Hopefully these last 13 episodes contain next to no filler.
So it'll be seven episodes for Season 7 and six for Season 8? If that's the case I hope they're 90 minute episodes.
hbo spokesperson to buzzfeed actually says that at no time did he confirm season 8 is the end, so who knows. still technically in the air even if its likely that 8 is it. http://io9.gizmodo.com/its-official-game-of-thrones-will-end-after-season-8-1784580304
Yep. Seven, then six. I don't see 90 minutes happening. That would be enough content for 14 regular episodes.
My guess is if Season 8 is only 6 episodes, they will all be a little longer, or at the very least the finale will be 20 minutes or so longer. I think it ends up being 7 episodes though.
Surprised this thread died just because the season finished. I recently finished a rewatch through season 5. Man, I initially thought season 2 was "boring" for whatever reason when I first watched it, but I was wrong.
I'm in the middle of a rewatch as well. I'm about halfway through Season 2 and I'd forgotten how great it is. I'm anxious to get to Season 3, as it was probably my favorite the first time through.
S1 and 2 hold up really well. Like most shows usually s3, and onward are the pinnacle seasons. Though honestly the only season of this I would say is inconsistent is s5.
I forgot how lame The Mountain was in season 2. By the way, all those talking about how The Hound needs to fight The Mountain; it doesn't need to happen and if it did, the umph wouldn't be there. Sandor is essentially a zombie, or a Frankenstein's monster type deal; it would have been far more powerful if he were "alive" and was able to talk back and forth with Gregor instead of just being some huge shape swinging a sword.
What is "known" so far. ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: 7 Things We Know So Far Bit of a spoiler. Tyrion says "welcome home, my queen" to someone during a production trailer for the new season. Logic would suggest he's talking to Dany. But she has to get around Euron and his fleet, right?
Sandor is the Hound, Gregor is the Frankenmountain. I still want The Hound to be the one who finally takes him out, even better if it's with fire.
Didn't The Mountain just take a vow of silence until Tommen's(?) enemies were gone? I thought he could still talk, just not yet. I might not be remembering that correctly.
