TONIGHT. Life always seems a little duller when GoT isn't on. I do hope I find another show soon that catches me like this one has.
I had to learn that I can't compare every new show that I watch to GoT or else I'm going to be disappointed
I like many shows for many different reasons. GoT is just one that delivers on many different fronts, and I definitely have gotten a lot more invested in it than most other shows I currently watch. OITNB is great and I just finished Season 4, but nothing else as of late has really been catching me.
Side note: Has anyone else ever caught the fact that Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) plays "Ramsey" in Furious 7? Lol. Now Tormund is joining the cast as well. Nothing even really relevant, just a funny way of things happening.
10 more months until we have a new episode after tonight. Then, we'll have new 7 episodes. Followed by another 10+ month wait for the final 6.
I haven't seen an official announcement but one of the directors from this season let it slip in an interview that next season would only be seven episodes.
I've seen it brought up a few times as something they might be doing but never a confirmation or announcement.
Game of Thrones Director Jack Bender Talks Direwolf Deaths, Lost, and Holding That Door This is the closest thing I've seen to confirmation.
If not in tonight's episode, I would like to see the fallout of Sam taking Heartsbane. Hopefully we see Sam's dad at least once more.
I didn't realize this episode is called The Winds of Winter. So I'm sure the Night King makes an appearance. Also I browsed a reddit thread yesterday on underrated horror movies, a couple that looked pretty good had GoT alums. Let Us Prey with Liam Cunningham and Honeymoon with Rose Leslie are both on my list now.
It's not a horror movie but Cunningham was phenomenal in both Hunger and the Wind That Shakes the Barley.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Sam scene, but I don't think it will have to do with his daD or the sword. Probably a safe bet the white walkers get at least a scene but the title could also just refer to the white raven we've seen in previews announcing winter is officially upon Westeros.
Is the Wind That Shakes the Barley that Irish independence movie with Cillian Murphy? He is so good. I didn't realize Cunningham was in that.
