It's kinda pointless to theorize about the Faceless Men because their narrative purpose is very simple: get Arya to reclaim her name. She's been hiding from that name since Baelor, quite literally 49 episodes ago. All of her training was about "stripping away" to No One. But she's not No One. She's, historically, one of the most powerful people in Westeros and she's now not running from that anymore. We saw Sansa step into that mantle over the last eight or so episodes, as well.

As for how the Freys receive justice with the Blackfish dead, Arya was at the Red Wedding, too. She'll never forget.

I like the way that is worded lol I've been feeling like it's leading up to Cersei vs. Tommen. Her kids have been her main motivation throughout the series, but now that her child is her biggest personal threat, she's going to have to decide if she is going to let her son rule as he wants or fight for herself. I don't know how that would work out considering she would be in even bigger trouble if she killed the king or something along those lines, but who knows.

I have a feeling the Baratheon/Lannister true lineage will come to light

Oh yeah, that's an obvious plot point I didn't consider. If Cersei confesses and atones as Tommen wants, his lineage will be exposed and his right to the throne could be taken away. Puts her in an even riskier situation.

Varys and Littlefinger are the only ones who can "confirm" that, right? Yeah, a lot of people "know," but those two have seen the proof found by Jon and Ned. Whose ear would they go to to prove that? Neither of them would ever go to the High Sparrow, and, iirc, they both had a hand in making sure Robert's bastards didn't survive.

It's almost too poetic for it NOT to happen. Tommen rid the world of Trial by Combat because all that does it give the accused a literal fighting chance to get away with whatever they did. But in this case, his own decision will unravel his real identity and thus screw himself over along with hurting his mom.

Varys is on his way to King's Landing...so there's that. I know he said they need friends in Westeros, so where else would he be going?

  13. If Jaqen is already dead, why was he fearful when Arya gave him his own name?

^Somebody gets it. +5 points Gryffindor.

I mean, if Tommen isn't going to survive the end of this season like most everyone seems to think.... then none of this really matters that much. Who cares if your dead king wasn't supposed to be king. He's dead.

Why does he even have a name if he is No One? I don't know, I didn't come up with the theory, just read it.

Also, Tommen's demise could be directly related to the news of his lineage and potential stripping of his crown.

  19. Lucky guess. My girlfriend is a Grynnidor as well, so maybe I saw the connection. I dunno. I'm a muggle, and thats for certain. Even she agrees.

  20. Well, Jaqen isn't his name. The man has no name. Jaqen H'ghar was just the role he was playing at the time we first met him, which is why the name stuck as an easy way to reference him among fans.

They're whole thing is just so mysterious. I agree that the Faceless Men were only there to serve Arya but I mean come on, I'd love to see some history on them.

I could've worded that better, cause I too believe it will be indirect as well. Would be awesome to see The Mountain toss his head across the throne room.

Arya was only hiding from her name by necessity, though. If the dudes who were hunting for Gendry knew who she was, they would have tried to take her back to King's Landing to let Cersei do what she wanted to. If Tywin had really figured out who she was at Harrenhal, the same deal, or maybe he would have reunited her with Robb & Catelyn, knowing the Red Wedding was coming up. She never really wanted to give up who she was, but she was forced to, first to survive, then to receive her training. Now that she is (apparently) done with her training, she's also ready to claim her name and defend it.

Yes to all of this. I believe Arya was the only one never getting news of everything that played out in King's Landing/The War of the 5 Kings and probably believed becoming one of the faceless was her only choice. Her seeing the play and learning all that she did showed her that Sansa is still alive, and that she belongs back in Westeros. I think that was the point many missed in her journey/struggle with becoming no one. Whether or not Jaqen was privy to this is still up in the air for me.

    Book people:

Remember when Tyrion killed Tywin and everyone was talking about how "someone didn't say the line" from the books or whatever? I never looked into it just in case it spoiled something in the show. But apparently that was two years ago. Can someone elaborate on that now?
