I noticed the score was strangely good too. In the middle of the movie, my sister asked me if a certain piece was from Mr. Robot.

Cliff Martinez did the score for this?

Came in here 'cause the trailer was surprisingly funny and wanted to know if people were digging it. And this might've pushed me over the edge, lol.

When talking about his scoring, don't forget Spring Breakers.

He almost did Logan, but scheduling got in the way. As a nerd, I wanna see him do a good superhero film eventually.

    he did indeed.

as someone who does synth-based music and would love to score something someday, he’s definitely an inspiration. cool seeing him do something so mainstream here.

he did den of thieves too

    run away with me Platinum

god I love Billy Magnussen and yeah Jesse Plemons was great too
it was so nice seeing Rachel McAdams lead a movie and sing Semi-Charmed Life in it at that
    Cliff's score was cool
now I need an episode of New Girl where Winston does a game night
I feel like for the most part they blended the action and comedy well, bodes well for their Flash movie
I also love that this is somehow the most obvious but also original concept for a movie

The back half was more action heavy than funny, but this was fun. Jason Bateman will always make me laugh, Rachel McAdams is so charming, Jesse Plemons was great every time he was on screen, and I'll take all the Michael C. Hall I can get.

I did not expect the weakest part of this to be the comedy. I was pleasantly surprised with that though, I wanted it to lean into the thriller elements and it totally did. Some funny lines peppered throughout too

Agreed that this was great. The only part I didn’t care for was the Denzel part. Joke went on way too long for that little of a payoff. But everything was well done. Rachel McAdams should do more comedies because she’s a delight.

I like how Moviepass has become a verb like Netflix or Google.

Just got back from a Sunday early evening showing and it was about sold out which is a good sign. I liked it, but didnt love it. Wish it was a bit funnier. Listening to the score now on spotify.

It was pretty good, but nothing special. Better than most studio comedies that have come out recently, mainly due to the cast.

I dunno. It was okay I guess but most of the comedy fell flat for me, and the action plot was just too convoluted. I didn't hate it, but I will probably never watch it again.
