Just saw the trailer. Looks like another mediocre-at-best comedy that happens to have quite a few quality people in it

Bits and pieces of this were cool but this ultimately fell really flat. A lot of running gags that don't work and it's never as thrilling as it clearly wants to be when it tries for that. On top of everything else, I didn't think it was possible to waste Chelsea Peretti like they did here

Also, it's interesting that Jason Bateman would go on record calling Horrible Bosses 2 (which is still rather underrated) a movie he only did for easy money but doesn't seem to have any problems saying yes to a clod like this. Whatever

Yeah, I did NOT expect an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes after 33 reviews. Impressive, really.

I was going to see it anyway because it seemed like the perfect movie pass movie, but that's more incentive

I can't believe this has such a high rating. I'll be curious to see what others think.

I’d probably laugh at Jason Bateman reading a phone book so my objectivity is already skewed

Yeah, really seems like I'm missing something with this movie. Some critics I generally like/respect have high-ish praise for this

This was surprisingly good. Not a classic or anything but a tightly written, mostly funny studio comedy in 2018 feels like a small miracle. Also, Jesse Plemmons is low key one of the best actors working right now.

And another thing, when was the last time a comedy had an original score this good?

I loved it. It was a blast. It had some really clever moments and I laughed out loud plenty with my friends. Y'all are just haters.
