I totally missed responding to this, but this is what happened (according to her, false allegation that stemmed from her backing off a friendship that was getting to be too much for her to handle):

I’m excited for tonight’s show too. Last time I saw her was when she played upstairs at Subt in 2015 w/ Girlpool supporting

 

I’m glad I got to catch her set tonight. I really enjoyed getting to hear mostly songs from this record, and Gabby seemed like she was having fun on stage.

Would’ve been cool to have a longer set, but I’m guessing it had to be abbreviated due to the late start.

It bummed me out to see the audience was only like 15 people, though, especially in a market like Chicago. Hopefully the rest of the tour has better turnout.

 

Were you the one sitting on the side who asked me if I was here for a Gabby’s World show due to the late start time? Or with that group? Those people plus a guy on the other side of me both asked if I was here for Gabby’s World because of the delayed start. I was like yeah but I don’t know what’s up with the delayed start.

 

She was really great tonight and the new songs sounded so good but I do have to echo @Orla the short set was a bit of a bummer, but hey it was still a good time. And yeah the amount of people there was also disappointing, I remember there being more people there the last time I saw her but that was pre-pandemic.
