seriously though, we were going pretty hard the first day, and the last two days I was in my chair if it wasn’t a band I was stoked on seeing.

 

Is everyone trying for early bird tickets today or waiting for the lineup?

 

Probably waiting. If my best bud wants to come out from Montana, I’ll go, if not, I might not.

 

I'm waiting. It would be harder to go this year with a baby in the house.

 

Yeah I’m gonna wait. They always pull some BOGO deal randomly, or buy it secondhand if someone who can’t make it.

also would like to see how the lineup shakes out since this and Aftershock (local to me) are the same weekend this year

lowkey put out of one of the best EPs of last year so this is quite a get imo. dudes who did play/play in trophy eyes and speed.

Idk guys, this fest is legit crazy to me. Early bird tickets right now are $325 and going to go up in price. The lineup isn’t even booked. Claimed last year was the last year. Gonna eventually do a BOGO.

Idk how hardcore fests and the fest can charge way less and you’ll get almost the same tiered bands. Then riot fest and the Danny wimmer fests charge about the same as furnace and you get legit headliners. Something isn’t adding up and I brought this up last year and I got scorched for it.

 

you got scorched cause it was a typical hater post, you said it was selling poorly, they charged the same and booked way less bands (wasn’t true) and last year had the second most people ever and like two less bands. The fest was one of the best things I’ve ever attended in my life after Hellfest 2004, the sets were amazing. I gladly paid again. Came to $259 after fees. They literally said in the post they will never make these passes lower so I don’t know how they could do a buy one get one and not get killed for it. The fact that they went through those tiers that quick says they sold a good amount of tickets and I think the price may only go up one more time.

 

Fair enough. I’ll gladly eat my words. I do enjoy what they book a lot I just think the price point at what they’re doing it at seems insane on the spectrum of fests. If people don’t mind paying that’s rad. But when hardcore fests are getting destroyed for charging like $180 it’s just head scratching.

extremely weird energy in here this morning considering the fest hasn’t missed in four years and every single person I know who has gone considers it one of the best ones they’ve ever been to
