So somehow the promoters of furnace fest have been muscled out of their own fest after partnering with a production company last year to save the fest and pay the artists so that it could happen. So it’s not over, but they have nothing to do with it.
sounds like they brought them in to save the fest, thinking they would still be a part and after they were like “no your out” it’s ours now.
Yeah I heard they had sold it a while ago but it was kinda hush hush. Real nervous to see what it might become
Oh wow, that’s awful news. Feel sorry for Chad and Johnny. Feels like exactly the kind of situation that Chad would accidentally end up in, poor guy.
Mike Z posted a ton of his experience behind the scenes. Kinda tragic to watch this all go down in real time. https://www.instagram.com/mikeziemer?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
Feel less sorry for Chad after reading the new Mike Z post, but man, this has been such a bummer with each post i’ve read. I’m glad the new team is still trying to weigh in the opinions of the “furnace fest community” but it feels really wrong how 2025 went down and i’m just uncertain about this moving forward.
Most likely it will turn into something like Welcome to Rockville or Inkarceration. I hope I’m wrong.
Well Circa Survive is a real possibility now. Louder Than Life giving us the whole lineup and we don't even have dates yet for FF?
I honestly feel like we are gonna get some sort of announcement about the leadership change followed by them moving it a year. I really feel like they are announcing this too late. Considering the people traveling have had so many other options to spend their money. I mean can you imagine honestly they announce this mid March-mid April and not drawing less than last year, which was considered a failure?
Would not be surprised. I am lucky enough to live between Louisville and Birmingham, but with the Circa Survive announcement, I am about to buy a ticket and probably won't go to 2 festivals in the span of a few weeks.
