Well, damn. The schedule is nearly perfect in that I would be able to see every single band I wanted to if I was going.
Kind of insane that Strays second to last US show is so early in the day and for them to have such a short set.
I mean it’s why they aren’t even touring the US, they just never caught on. I’m surprised they are playing main for that reason, like shed they would probably play two hours later at best?
The fact that I def would see the rocket summer and then immediately go to see the bogg is very funny to me
I would just hang out in the Shed the whole weekend then venture out Sunday evening, although most of the bands aren't unique to that fest, give a couple. Still a pretty dope lineup overall.
If I were going... Friday: Proper, Gideon, Spanish Love Songs, I Am the Avalanche, Madball, Mindforce, Hot Water Music, Texas is the Reason, Comeback Kid, Drain, Jimmy Eat World Saturday: Squint, Keep Flying, Millington, Modern Life Is War, Ten Yard Fight, Driveways, Less Than Jake, Suicidal, DKM Sunday: Gumm, Spaced, Soul Blind, Stray from the Path, Haywire, GridIron, the Mongoloids, Norma Jean, Sincere Engineer, Converge, DEP Would be an incredibly fun couple days (with a few annoying conflicts).
Theoretical schedule (which honestly makes me wish I could swing the travel this year): Friday: Proper., Gideon, Spanish Love Songs, I Am the Avalanche, Madball, Mindforce, Texas Is the Reason, Comeback Kid, Still Remains, From First To Last, Jimmy Eat World Saturday: Super Sometimes, Big Ass Truck, As Cities Burn, Modern Life Is War, A Change of Pace, Driveways, Rolo Tommasi, Living Sacrifice, Less Than Jake, Zao, Petey, Dropkick Murphys Sunday: Secret and Whisper, Haywire, Horse the Band, Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, The Rocket Summer, Sanguisugabogg, Harm's Way, Converge, Foundation, Knocked Loose
Gideon is one of the most overhyped bands. The feature on the recent No Cure EP is dope as hell though.
Hypothetically, I guess I'd go: Friday: Spanish Love Songs, I Am The Avalanche, Knuckle Puck, Madball, Mindforce, Hot Water Music, Texas Is The Reason, Comeback Kid, stage hopping, Jimmy Eat World Saturday: As Cities Burn, Bleach, Stavesacre, Anberlin, Living Sacrifice, stage hopping Sunday: Secret & Whisper, Horse the Band, The Rocket Summer, Terror, Norma Jean, Converge, Emery, Dillinger, Knocked Loose. Would be very fun, but not quite the same as prior years.
I wish I could see Emery or As Cities Burn live again. Heck, even a UK Norma Jean show would be amazing. Probably my least favourite Furnace Fest line up since the return BUT there’s enough here that I can still say I’d love to go!
Definitely feel like they should have moved some bands to Saturday as it's definitely the weakest of the three.
I do find it funny I spent three years filling out line-up requests begging for Spanish Love Songs and when they finally get them, I'm not going.
