I don’t get it….but there is a large contingent who has been very much against them coming back after all the end of furnace fest marketing

but from being in the community, it was all true, sloss didn’t want them back etc

I think multiple things can be true:

    1) They should’ve taken at least a year off after all the marketing last year.

    2) There’s a market for this festival. But maybe not in Trump’s economy.

    3) People are assholes for no reason behind a keyboard. And are often the vocal minority.

    I do not exist.

    Agree with all of this.

I shouldn’t find 3 surprisingly, but I genuinely (from afar) thought the community aspect to Furnace Fest would have meant more goodwill in this situation.

the people complaining most likely never planned on going in the first place, or only went one year. The true community seems to get it, sucks for the people that spend $380 as opposed to what it is now. But I mean if they didn’t then this fest would be canceled anyway

I hope this does happen this year but I imagine it will be its last year. The law of diminishing returns is at play here and with the MULTITUDE of other fests they have to compete with it, it’s bound to lose popularity. As someone said before, hardcore is the draw at the moment and if you don’t have the hot bands, you may as well throw in the towel. It’s good to see them catering to that crowd though.

Is this still available? I can only go on Sunday after attending all the last 4 years. They just lowered prices to $100 a day so wondering if you'd negotiate (and also how we would exchange the wrist band?)

Ah, I see now you only bought a Sunday ticket. I will take it if available still. I'll send a DM

Based on furnace test community discussion

Friday main stage goes hot water music into mom jeans into Jimmy eat world

shed is Sunami, speed, drain, comeback kid, Kublai khan

so one would assume saves the day is closing out the pond?

looks like from first to last is closing the pond, oddly.

They just sent a bit of a teaser email that essentially confirms From First to Last is closing the Pond stage on Friday.

I saw that which would mean saves the day is on main probably right before hot water music

Yeah a lot of it is about fire hazards too so they don’t want too many people going to one show. So maybe there is a heater in the shed when saves is playing and they think that might move some people to main

I'm guessing we might get the schedule tomorrow. Which is the last chance they'll have at convincing me to attend via FOMO, lol.

the idea of FFTL vs Kublai Khan vs Jimmy Eat World makes me feel ILL. three of the bands i wanted to see most that day! i knew the conflicts would arise, but damn what a bummer!!!

I think it’s more fftl vs mom jeans vs Kublai khan

In those situations you go with the band you will most likely never see again. All of the others except one are active.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Yeah, KL, Jimmy and Dropkick will all play unopposed if history continues this year.
