I guess it’s not dead. Here are all the bands I texted Chad to try and get for this year: Old head Starflyer 59 Twothirtyeight Envy Circa survive Maylene doing self titled Academy is doing almost here Means Copeland in motion Brandtson send us a signal With blood comes cleansing Chasing victory I call this abandonment Hopesfall Terminal Beloved Mae everglow Receiving end of sirens “between the heart” Spitfire “self help” Anadivine June if you speak any faster Further seems forever Lovedrug “pretend your alive” A static lullaby Dead poetic Number one gun Still remains ———— New bands Defeater Alcoa High vis Touche amore Hotline tnt Gouge away Portrayal of guilt Spy Greet death Single mothers Loma Prieta Gel Birds in row Ceremony Speed Candy Gumm
Bear vs Shark is semi-active again. I've been trying to advocate for them coming for the last 4 years, before they were even as active as they will be this year! Love Circa Survive on the list. I would die if it happens. Other impossible dream band is Fear Before. I'll take Memory Drip too Would also love Hot Mulligan, La Dispute, Sweet Pill, Pinkshift
Would be sick if one day ERRA played Augment in full (since they didn’t do anything for the tenth anniversary) in the shed with the Augment era lineup and then another day they played main stage with the current lineup.
I live in Birmingham, so I'll 100% be there. I wonder what happened to convince them to go for 1 more year? I know it gets speculated every year, but the first thing that pops into my head is maybe The Chariot finally agreed to play. That alone would make 1 more year worth it.
That's fair. I didn't get into them until after they had already called it quits, so I selfishly just want one chance to see them live. Seeing '68 do a snippet of Teach will probably be the closest I ever get
Those old Chariot shows where the venue practically collapses in a basement where by the end of it you’re tackled into a drumset were the stuff of legends.
I really want to go again but this year I am going to have a 6 month old baby at home so I need to figure out my priorities. I met some cool people this year, it would be nice to see them. It's always funny to me being the one Jewish guy surrounded by devoted Christians at the fest.
Not an update per se, but some texts got posted between some folks working on the fest and they are saying the lineup they have been able to get is insane. Like in the texts they say “this might as well be the end cause they won’t be able to beat this lineup”
I'm just going to assume this means they got: The Chariot Circa Survive Every Time I Die Fear Before the March of Flames mewithoutYou The Receiving End of Sirens And every other band I thought I'd never see again
ETID not a chance. The way Jordan talks about Keith, I don’t see it. I feel like the most likely out of those is actually the chariot. How much longer can Josh say no? Specially if the $$$ gets bigger
Oh, I know there is no chance for most of them, that's why I listed them as an unbeatable lineup. I do think TREOS is possible considering they're playing shows this year.
This is a jump in early bird prices. Probably need to decide if I’m going asap. I think I got early bird for every year for like $150 before.
Do they do single day tickets to this or is it all 3 day passes? Always wanted to check this out but 3 days is just exhausting these days.
Duly noted, thank you. I don't know how it compares to Fest in Florida, but that is the only one I have ever done and I pretty much last 2 days and do nothing the 3rd besides watch football and drink and eat, ha
Last year, @Micah511 and I spent a fair amount of time in camp chairs around seeing our favorites watching bands. It was great.
