None of you in here are the ones advocating for this mystery fest thing? If I spend the money I wanna know who I’m seeing across three stages.

Yeah, I ain't paying $600-$800 for the hotel (why are they all so much higher this year?) for a mystery.

I’d be ok with a few ??? On the schedule but no I’m not gonna run all the over the place to see bands I might wanna see. The fact that there are like a dozen people in that FF talking to promoters all the time trying to convince them to do a mystery fest

Mysteries don't sell tickets, so I imagine Chad and Mike won't give in.

Think I'm pulling the trigger on a hotel reservation in Fultondale. Is that an alright area @Micah511? The hotel I've stayed at in Irondale the last three years doubled in price. I've got to do a 20 mile run on Sunday morning (yeah...), so I'm thinking of using the Five Mile Creek Greenway over there.

Which hotel? Fultondale is on the immediate north side of Birmingham, which can be quite sketchy the closer to the city you are, but if it's close to Gardendale it should be fine. I'm not sure if it's the place for a 20 mile run though, but I have some friends I can consult on a good place for that in the Birmingham area though.

La Quinta Inn. It's across the street from the Target/Books a Million at I-65/Walker Chapel Road.

My friend is running a marathon on this greenway this upcoming weekend, which is how I found out it exists.

Oh yeah, that's fine if you're that close to that shopping center. Your friend probably knows better than me, I'm a walker/occasional runner, so I'm not usually scoping out places longer than a couple miles. I do really like the Shades Valley Greenway off Lakeshore Drive in Homewood. It's fairly lengthy (maybe 5ish miles?) and can connect to Jemison Park if you're cool with crossing a couple streets.

I should be finishing out my basement this year and move my office down there, and I can start having people stay when they come in to town for concerts, probably won't happen before FF though.

Evergreen Terrace had one of the hardest to get into early daytime Shed slots in 2021. Not sure why that's my initial reaction, haha.

Snapcase was a highlight of Riot last year so that's a must if I can swing this

I saw Evergreen Terrace headline over ABR when ABR just put out Messengers at an old Birmingham venue called Cave 9. I was more there for ABR (I was like, a 14-15 year old youth group kid) but people went NUTS for Evergreen Terrace. Bet a lot of those same people from 17 years-ish ago will be right back up front for them.

They fixed your brain when you were young.

I discovered ET because of that tour. I think it was the release tour for Wolfbiker, maybe?

0/4 for me today but that’s okay

Definitely Wolfbiker. I forget what the "single" was for that album, but that was really all I knew from them at the time, and thought it popped off live.

Fun fact: Skycamefalling was the first band I ever saw at warped tour. I walked in 2002 and they were the first band playing at the waterfront stage in Camden.

Not that anyone who frequents here would ever think it possible, but so many people have requested No Doubt that they posted in the community that it isn’t possible and they cost way too much money.

Emery and The Almost are hitting Birmingham on their album plays tour in March. Curious if that means they're not going to be on this. Or announced very late.

I doubt that it makes any difference. I would be very surprised if Emery won't be on FF.

I think Emery confirmed last year on some podcast that they’re playing FF24

How was the show? I thought about going tonight in Atlanta but I think I'll go to the full band show next month instead.
