They definitely did. I was very worried I was going to watch someone die. Thankfully they did not. People are stupid.
My feet are all filled with dirt. Just made it to the hotel, I have to pack and shower and then leave at 5am for my flight.
Furnace fest is the weekend when I feel the most pride for living here. I hope Birmingham treated all y’all well. Can’t believe the fest doesn’t move forward in some way.
Also thanks to the plug (@Garrett) for coming through. Potentially the new contender for prettiest record in my collection.
So I didn’t stay for the Underoath encore but heard they started a one more year chant, and Chad the owner joined them on stage and started participating in the chant too
Special shout out to @Micah511 for letting me hang out all weekend. Ran into him at Seasick on Friday morning and basically did the whole thing start to finish and had a blast. It was also great to hang out for a few sets @Supernova !
Buc-ee’s is good because the gas is cheap, and I guess if you’re on a road trip and want to knock out a meal, road snacks, and gas in one stop, it’s good, but no one should go out of their way to go there just for food.
I wasn’t able to hang this weekend. I had my childhood best friend with me that lives in Montana, hadn’t been to a show since 2013, and showed me all of these band when we were kids. I cried twice. I did see @Garrett briefly who is so kind. Didn’t have a lot of spending money, but my bro bought me about a burning fire in vinyl and I got a pair of haste the day socks for free. what merch did everyone get?
I got an Underoath shirt because it glows in the dark, the Saosin S/T exclusive, the Hell or High Water exclusive, and Silent Planet’s Superbloom. Spent way more on food this year, but bought way less beer and bourbon, too.
I got the ABR constellations anniversary tie dye, Saosin vinyl, and the free EVR shirt. I think that’s it.
I really didn’t like most of the festival merch this year. I’d gotten a shirt or sweater for each year until now.
I got the Saosin vinyl, Doppelganger vinyl and free shirt from Equal Vision, and a Silverstein shirt for my son.
We didn't get a pic!!!!!!! Yeah it was great hanging for a bit. Glad we met up and I met you guys! All I picked up was a Better Lovers muted yellowish shirt. Didn't really look for anything else. Wish I would have picked up a sticker or koozie or something with Furnace Fest branding on it.
I got a FF shirt (on the end of the second day, they barely had anything left), a free Equal Vision shirt (hedious design and colors I must say but free is free. Thanks for the tip again) and an Across Five Aprils shirt from their aftershow.
