Really feels like a full circle moment for little 14-15 year old Micah who got introduced to Norma Jean during O’God and going back and being blown away by Bless the Martyr.
If you’ll allow me to wax poetic: if you told little youth group kid me I would see TDWP, Haste the Day, ABR, Norma Jean, Emery, He Is Legend, the fall of Troy, Saosin, Coheed, and Underoath all at one festival you would blow my mind. The fact that it happened in my backyard just makes me so thankful for this little corner of the music world.
Oh shoot I forgot Blindside had a song on the need for speed underground soundtrack, turn up EDIT: I’ve honestly never seen such a contrast between such high demand for merch and such a lifeless crowd once the band actually plays. Truly wild. They still got a couple bangers though.
I have tickets to see Underoath next month for this tour and I thought that if I see them tonight it would be enough for me to skip but now I just want to go more.
Was a good ass weekend. Better Lovers Full of Hell Saosin Mindforce and Drug Church were my favorites
Is it even furnace fest if you’re not stuck at the train when you’re in a desperate need to shower and sleep
i’m going to miss furnace fest so much. i have seen so many artists i never thought i would ever have a chance to see and i have discovered some really amazing artists and developed a deeper appreciation for others. i don’t think i will find another festival that compares to this one to me. i hope i find my way back to sloss someday.
Same. Let's do it again when we're all 60. I discovered many bands through this festival in the last 4 years. I made it on stage at the end for Underoath. What a way to close out 4 years.
