I saw them at Rockville Sunday and for being older guys they still were going nuts! Way better than expected.
The amount of bands that I want to see and were added here is less than the amount of bands I wanted to see and are not on the lineup. Oh well, still going to be a blast.
Saturday is the day for me. Also, pointing out that Anthony will be there with L.S.Dunes on the same day as Saosin performing with Cove. Hope there's a good chance he comes out to do a song.
Reggie didn't do anything that bad, the allegations were him owing an ex money. (also tax / soberity issues but that's a personal thing?) That was all cleared up. Agreed on TMP though.
Honestly not really sold on it? It's cool, don't get me wrong, but not as many big gets for me as last year. Friday is definitely the day though.
Saturday is sooo bare for me in terms of artists i want to see. it’s like… misery signals, saosin, coheed, and then what??? poison the well and the bled would be on my list but i really didn’t care for either of them when they played last time at FF… i guess i’ll be doing some research to see if there’s anything else im into that day, but friday+sunday are both sick
agreed. depending on how the set times shake out, may actually explore birmingham a little more that afternoon. chorus.fm hang at one of those breweries nearby. it's kinda nice, though, because i need to run ~20 miles either saturday or sunday for marathon prep, and suddenly it looks like there might be an alright day to sneak it in that morning with saturday, too.
Anyone heard any rumblings about the two Thursday pre shows? I know they are doing two again, five bands each, one heavy, and one not but haven’t heard about any bands.
I'm thinking I just do Friday. Coheed possibly my fav band, but I JUST saw them in Bham last Summer. I COULD still swing over Saturday and run a cool 20 though.
I mean, if you're already there to run why not see Coheed? Could break out an OLDIES set considering the location and all. Saosin with Cove that day will be great, too.
I wonder if the surprises are something that is kept for the festival or something that would be announced ahead of time.
