I saw Plea a couple times back in the day but never really got into them for whatever reason. Will have to give them another shot.
Maybe 5-6 years ago when Facedown was practically giving away CD’s I bought a random box of CD’s from them. It had a ton of good stuff in it and then it had two albums from a band called A Plea for Purging. Turned it off after the first song. Went back and listened to all the War of Ages albums in it. Now that’s a solid get. Although, I do remember hearing about a core member passing away.
A Plea for Purging imo is the most generic form of metalcore. War of Ages were on a whole different level. This song has been on my gym playlist for AGES.
Apfp were one of those bands where they didn’t have like albums, they had songs. Like they are perfect at a fest like this because they will play for 30-40 mins and play everything you wanna hear from them. The albums were overall ok, but they had like 5 or 6 absolute banger songs.
They meant a lot to Nashville. They’d bring out like 300 kids for a hometown show back in the late MySpace era. Their shows were always an event. Their final show in Nashville was the only time I’ve actually see a “front to back, side to side” pit for the “the life”
A music venue in Michigan accidentally posted that The Insyderz (late 90s-early 00s ska) are reuniting for Furnace Fest when they announced a different show of theirs.
