The lack of excitement I’m seeing for Elliott and Roadside Monument is surprising. Also, don’t sleep on Capra.
lineup is very sick for an initial announcement. i'm a boomer so the ghost inside doesn't do anything for me, but their popularity is pretty nuts. hope integrity doesn't cancel
I think the mistake here is that they’ve just announced a whole bunch of artists at once. Last time we had Beloved as that first announcement and the hype was obviously through the roof. I think if they had led with maybe a couple of bands yesterday (Advent? Roadside Monument? New Found Glory if you want a headliner? Not huge any of them but they seem to be standouts, with Advent and Roadside Monument the reunion vibes that were there last year) and then announce the full 1/3 roster in a week or two that would have led to greater anticipation. It doesn’t matter to me in the UK but there are some thoughts.
Saw Elliot’s doing False Cathedrals which is so dope. heard a rumor about Pedro The Lion playing Control which would be epic. also got a tip about a reuniting of an late 2000’s T&N band. Any guess?
Ivoryline just had a labeled podcast episode. Jonezetta, The Fold, Far-less, Waking Ashland… can’t think of many more from that era. Secret & Whisper.
2021 repeats I’m banking on: Better Off Thursday Underoath Emery Comeback kid Appleseed cast Further seems forever probably more but these I would bet money on
When can we expect an announcement?! And is there anything you want to share, even as little as a vague hint?
Speaking of the So What line-up... I'm very curious how much overlap is there. Because that festival is stacked with a lot of bands I'd see in a festival setting (but maybe not go out of my way to see), but also would avoid a lot of them at the same time.
The headliners are more of the classic/influential bands. Non-Christian. One punk, one metal, one emo
Is New Found Glory not a headliner? Are Taking Back Sunday bigger than them? I thought they were around the same level. I don't really listen to either so I may be way off base. And with last year's headliners being Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, and Killswitch Engage are we expecting bands with similar draw due to listeners or similar draw due to rarity?
