Yeah seasick is the best. Whole place is a vibe, I get my haircut there and they have frequent in store performances.
Sitting by the pond listening to Mom Jeans and watching the strobe lights coming out of the shed for American Nightmare.
Any guesses for next year, or any of y'all that went heard any rumblings? Coheed makes a ton of sense as a headliner IMO, but maybe that's just a pipeline dream to see my favorite band in my hometown, which rarely happens.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Norma Jean and Maylene booked again after their sets were trainwrecked by technical issues. I honestly have no idea who they’ll book, but they probably need to get a few bigger names (Rise Against, Jimmy Eat World, Coheed) in the mix, as well as some larger undercard bands like last year’s line-up. On paper the festival felt more balanced this year on genre representation, but seeing it play out on the stage it led to some bands having very small crowds and others clearly being put on the wrong stage.
Missing UO playing When The Sun Sleeps last year and '68 playing The City this year... I can't miss next year.
20 year album plays that I think could be realistic to a degree next year: Silverstein - When Broken Is Easily Fixed Thursday - War All The Time Cursive - The Ugly Organ Motion City Soundtrack - I Am The Movie Saosin - Translating The Name Fear Before The March of Flames - Odd How People Shake (or just them playing a set in general to celebrate) Copeland - Beneath Medicine Tree (especially since it got canceled last year) Thrice - Artist In The Ambulance Armor For Sleep - Dream To Make Believe Comeback Kid - Turn It Around Terror - Lowest of the Low The Bled - Pass The Flask As I Lay Dying - Frail Words Collapse BTBAM - The Silent Circus Bleeding Through - This Is Love, This Is Murderous If ETID magically decided to get back together (they won't), them doing a Hot Damn! set would probably be a lock.
Did anyone buy their tickets for next year? It’s a really good price, but it’s very hard to commit this far out.
So many of these would be awesome. I would love a full album play of Turn It Around with their old singer.
Highly recommend this fest. Such a good time. Here is who I saw (* - full sets): Friday: One Step Closer Dead to Fall Impending Doom* ‘68* Integrity Norma Jean Stretch Arm Strong Angel Du$t Fiddlehead* Alexisonfire Saturday: Advent* Life In Your Way* Watashi Wa Counterparts Mychildren Mybride The Appleseed Cast Misery Signals Hidden In Plain View Elliot* Poison The Well Demon Hunter* Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster Blindside Sunny Day Real Estate Sunday: Wristmeetsrazor Jesus Piece* Comeback Kid Soul Glo* left early to get home at a reasonable time
As someone who has been heavily considering going to this the last two times, I really think I might pull the trigger on 2023. Is the VIP worth the double cost?
Seemed like it wasn't for many this year but I wish they gave more info on what it includes besides "VIP upgrade".

I've never done it, but you get a t-shirt, a couple free drinks, and access to guaranteed shade all day at the main stage among other things. I think there's also slightly nicer bathrooms? I personally wouldn't do it/don't think it's worth it.
Question, how big is the grounds? I might go next year if the walk from stage to stage isn't that bad.
One of my friends has gone both years and loved it, and if it wasn't the weekend after Riot Fest I'd feel pretty inclined to travel for it next year if the lineup is right. I don't have that many white whale artists that could conceivably play, but Further Seems Forever with Chris, Terminal again, and the original lineup of The Wedding playing their first album might be enough to do it.
You can get between the two side stages in less than 15 seconds and the main stage in less than a minute if you walk with purpose.
