Try again tomorrow. They intentionally held back on selling a large portion of the TAYF stock so they could have some tomorrow (and maybe Sunday… not sure).
What a day! I'm sore as well. Food early was easy, getting food later was terrible. I ate twice at I think it was called "something Rabbit"; out in the yard. They had all the different bowls so they could make an easy vegan option. It was very good. Second time I waited about 20 mins to order, then went to watch Emory, then went back shortly after to pick up. That was a good idea. I had never seen Zao or Converge so I made it a point to catch them. However it was just for 3-4 songs each since I wanted to rush back over to main. Wish I would have hung around for Zao longer and trimmed Thursday a bit, but no real regrets with that really. Only other time I saw Thursday was on the tour they broke up on and Geoff was sick, so this made up for that. Jacob from Converge was an ANIMAL on that stage. Each act from Eighteen Visons onward on the covered stage sounded so BEEFY. Vocals were really crushing. Caught on camera a dude jumping off the side railing into the crowd during 18V as I got a good spot on the side railing during them. Man during Every Time I Die I felt like was floating in the stratosphere. They really tore that field apart. I saved all moshing, circle pitting, and other shenanigans for them. Set of the year. And the dude that crowd surfed in his wheel chair! They brought him up on side stage after. Keith was thrilled to see it. Underoath playing When The Sun Sleeps..... I never thought I would see it. I had given up hope it would ever happen. It was absolutely the perfect show to do it and I'm thankful I was there. They too sounded huge. Massive. The new songs are indeed, very good live.
Today’s secret vinyl is I Am Hollywood. If you find it, please tag me haha (tomorrow will also be a solid state band… guessing Showbread)
They added more beverage stations and food choices today. Just got here a few minutes ago. Leftover Norma Jean and the He Is Legend vinyl is over by the plugyourholes stage, but I didn’t hop in line
It (and bless the martyr) are both preorders, I learned. The line to get both are on the little staircase next to plugyourholes.
I will absolutely pay for a copy of I Am Hollywood if anyone can snag an extra for me. You will be handsomely rewarded.
When I go that way for Touche Amore I’ll check on the line. Haven’t had much time to stand in it today.
I survived the Beloved set but man, my body is so broken... FSF, a bit of TBS and I'm done for today. I decided to take it easy today to reserve energy and it was wise.
im in a dead spot between Anberlin and FSF so I was debating between mineral and stretch arm strong and this post made me feel like I made the right choice
Yeah, he is constantly going off key like he is getting choked up or about to break down. I love emo and whiny stuff but this is something else. I'm just going to hang here and get a good spot for FSF.
I keep bouncing around at the back of both of these “non-main” stages this weekend. FSF will be the same. Besides ACB yesterday, all of my must sees for full sets have been on Level X. I’ve seen a lot of 2-3 songs of certain bands. It’s kinda nice to just sit here and listen to Stretch. They’re very tight.
At first I wanted to try and stay for their set but the Beloved set was way too much for me. Now I'm just sitting against the fence next to Mineral's stage and waiting for them to finish so I can grab a spot. I can save you a spot next to me But seriously, the only flaw with the layout of this festival is that it's really hard to see anything from the back at that stage, and I'm 6'1.
I’m 5’11” and have joked multiple times that this festival is too tall for me with my 5’7” buddy. I’m standing near that fence now. Backwards “radically inclusive” hat and camelback.
