Earlier this week Killswitch Engage and August Burns Red postponed their tour until 2022. I take it they won't be doing this? The fest hasn't said anything about it.
no they are still playing this and all the fest dates they have. the spring tour they had last year is what they where talking about. furnace fest put out a poster today with the 4 new bands they added and both are still on it
I want to go to this instead of Riot Fest, but I can't get any of my friends to go. Anyone ever been to a festival by themselves?
I'm going by myself, first time there, making the trip from Chicago. I was hoping there would be more of these bands on Riot Fest but unfortunately that is not the case so I'll go to both. I like going by myself. I don't need to worry about anybody else, i make my own schedule and i usually go to shows alone anyways.
Our original Group of 5 dwindled to just 2 of us right now. Have a strange feeling I’ll be solo as well lol. Chorus meetup would be cool! Also any hotel recs that are walking distance or is that not recommended? TIA!
I’ve been to fests with friends and by myself,& both are equally fun. I tend to not tire out as fast as my friends so going alone let’s me bounce around quickly all day,but singing your favorite songs beside your best friends is arguably the best feeling in the world
Getting my tickets this week. I moved to the states 5 years ago so there are so many bands here I never thought I will ever have a chance to see live. Making the trip from Chicago but it's totally worth it. Does anyone know what the stage setup is? Are any bands playing simultaneously?
i remember the organizers saying there will be 3 stages. I’m expecting some overlap but I can see it being run so you can see everyone you’d like and not have to choose.
Same. Really wish they were live streaming this. I'd easily pay full retail ticket prices to watch from home.

The Bled was the main reason why I bought a ticket. Obviously really excited for the rest of the line up but seeing The Bled on the festival's roster was what made me decide to go. It will be my first time seeing them in 11 years. They used to be my absolute favorite band in high school. I'm so excited.
We all have our blindspots. Despite LOVING a lot of bands on this bill, there are quite a few that I've heard about for years, but have never actually heard a single note of their music. If you like heavier stuff, check them out before the show. Pass the Flask is a classic, imo. edit: also, I suggest moving Living Sacrifice up your priority list too. Saw them live in 2017 with ZAO and they completely destroyed.
OK despite my best efforts it is looking like a solo venture to alabama for me - a sentence I truly, really never thought I would say
While we're at it... Any one have an idea about something interesting to do the night before day 1? A preshow, concert or even a good place to eat?
