This ripped. Obviously can't live up to Fury Road, but it's still great and gives a lot of nice context to Fury Road that I'll appreciate when I rewatch that again. War Rig sequence was the highlight. Can't believe there's a character they call Piss Boy lmao.
Not sure I was ever bothered by the CGI. Every set piece and action sequence felt like it was made in tandem with Fury Road. Yes, the main difference here is that Fury Road is a 2 hour car chase and Furiosa dedicates more time to world building and character building. And that is FINE! The two movies are begging to be watched together, they fit together perfectly. GIVE CHRIS HEMSWORTH AN OSCAR.
I accidentally took a Benadryl instead of a Claritin like an hour before seeing this yesterday so I was nodding off throughout the last 2/3rds, gonna have to try and see it again next weekend. I’m an idiot.
There’s only like a handful of kids movies in the theatre a year these days so doesn’t surprise me if families would go see that
Does Garfield appeal to kids nowadays? I guess he must. Either that or parents who remember Garfield from their childhood are taking their kids to see this against their will.
Honestly didnt know this took place is the dead center of Australia? Have we considered the possibility that nothing at all was wrong with the rest of the world?
I would be pretty shocked if this has the legs of Fury Road, but we’ll see! Nothing is coming out next week and I think new Bad Boys the week after is gonna clean up.
