The Yondu situation is finally over. Glad I got one from the Target drop. I'll have to drop my haul over the last week or so when I get them all in by mail. I don't usually collect much, but so much Marvel was happening through sales, drops, etc.
Target has by far become the worst for exclusives in my area. Tried to get the exclusive Killmonger this weekend and found stores that supposedly had it according to Brickseek but was gone by the time I got there. Walgreen’s has improved now that you can order the exclusives online - Target seems to still only put some exclusives up online but not others.
Same, and these are the only two I really wanted in the set. I feel like the 10” Groot I got from Target last year was pure luck. Not optimistic on finding the 10” Thanos whenever that hits stores.
I'm glad I went to the 2nd nearest store for the Killmonger glow. My Target never even got them. I don't think my Walmart even got the Black Panther glow either, so I'm glad Funko put that up on their own website. (Just got that in and it was packaged well and looks great!) One thing I heard from my local Gamestop is that Funko may be switching up the dispersal. He said Gamestop will be getting things quicker now because they worked out a deal to step in to not have Funko distribute to their stores. So, essentially, they will be taking the stock at the manufacturing phase and take over there, rather than manufacturing having to filter that through Funko in Washington to then get dispersed.
The last week and a half has been pretty damn good. Traded in my Lego Avengers at Gamestop and paid $8 total for Thanos, Nebula, Mantis, Jessica Jones and a pre-order for the Gamestop exclusive of Infinity War wave 2. (Nebula/Mantis/Jessica Jones were $5 each.) Doctor Strange was free because I traded in a bunch of CDs at a local exchange place and just took him out of the store credit/money I received. Vision and Killmonger were store pick-ups and got Black Panther/Yondu online from Walmart/Target.
Managed to snag the Wal-Mart Thanos and Black Panther exclusives for store pick-up next week. Now if I could only get those pesky Target exclusives...
Just picked up Richard and Erlich from Silicon Valley for $3.50 each and Aragorn at GameStop. I can’t seem to find any of the Jurassic Park characters at any store that sells Funko’s near me.
Went to Toys R Us to see how many exclusives they had worth picking up. Only saw a Disney Princess one and a Minnie/Mickey 2-pack which I figured wouldn't be worth much so I didn't get it.
