My favorite song changes depending on the day but it's The Sweetest Wave as I write this. Gimme more epic, proggy FFAF
Looking at the other acoustic sets penned, alongside the DJ sets and podcasts, it must be a less "heavy" stage which offers a different dimension to the other stages. The official site says there's "dedicated areas for drop-in relaxation sessions, mindfulness and sensory calm spaces". Acoustic fits if that's the case.

Just peeped their IG story and it seems like they’re teasing something. The profile picture looks like a new promo picture as well.
They mentioned having new stuff in the works during the initial run of shows with Lucas so hopefully this is it
even though matt fucked up his voice pretty badly i genuinely cannot imagine how their new music will sound without him. not that i am against it though
I get it. I’m a big Holding Absence fan so personally Lucas is about as good of a new vocalist as I could possibly ask for in this band - even though it’ll feel weird I’m very curious
i like holding absence too and that if anything makes it harder for me to envision because im already familiar with how lucas sounds, he is great its mostly that a lot of my favorite ffaf albums (conduit + chapter & verse) are albums i cherish because of the way they adapted their sound along with matts grittier voice. im def curious to meet new stuff on its own terms, i just acknowledge theyre gonna be pretty different terms than the ones i associate with them
I was just listening to Conduit today, I think it's pretty firmly my 2nd favorite from them now (I'm just such a sucker for Casually Dressed). But Conduit is super super great
Unfortunately I think the announcement is going to just be them performing at 2000 Trees Festival - the three words they posted on their socials are the What3Words location of where the festival is taking place
I don’t believe they’ve released anything worthwhile since Welcome Home Armageddon. If the latter albums damaged Matt’s voice then I wish they’d chosen another screamer. It’s quite wild how good his voice was in the early day to what it sounds like now. I understand age is a factor but he probably could have done more to preserve his voice.
How many vocalists in the scene have this in their minds at the start of their careers? Dude probably didn't know what he was doing to himself. Uneducated? Somewhat. But I'm not going to hold it against him.
i honestly would take everything after armageddon over it but thats just me. that album is kind of a swing and a miss for me personally outside of a handful of very high highs
agreed, WHA is a bit of a mess. wish they'd gone the direction of the Your History is Mine songs instead coulda been their best
Yeah just got the confirmation This being their only show this year may mean they’ll be busy working on new music and/or Lucas may have a busy year ahead with Holding Absence as well? We’ll see
