  1. Wooo about time!! And glad to hear them finally move on from only playing songs from the first couple albums, even though it'll feel bittersweet without Matt.

Gavin should do more vocals now, especially if they record anything new. Always loved his vocals on the rare occasion he'd step up

This is the one band on my bucket list I still haven’t seen. Damn.

    hmmm

Did they post hoc remove the sound from that?

  6. Live footage of the shows with Lucas popped up and he killed it. Would be up for new material with him if he permanently joins the band. Curious to see what the future holds.

I've watched some of that too, he really does it well and I'm glad they've found a good singer to do it, though Matt will always just sell it for me with all the feels I get hearing his voice (I'll keep going back to their records obviously)

No doubt Matt was the best in his prime but the last 10 or so years have been rough live with him. Hope he does something again in the future though.

If anyone is missing those early FFAF sounds, around that time there was another Welsh band called Dopamine would had a couple very over looked records. A little bit more poppy leaning than FFAF but still scratched that itch

Also very surprised these are on US Spotify and totally listed under the wrong Dopamine

Why wouldn't they be on US Spotify?

As for the latter, I've noticed a bunch of smaller bands with simple names end up getting flooded with dance tracks or random junk. It's really annoying.

oh no, I do get it, but what I mean is I still had cherished Matt's input even when his voice was shot. Also, the last time I saw them could've been like 8-9 years ago and I loved it, but I also watched some of the latest videos on yt today (and I could still stick to my opinion; I'd go see them again if they played near me this time around)

Just had experience with a bunch of UK bands not being on it. For example the full version of Hell Is For Heroes debut. Which is a crying shame

I don't think that's because they're a UK band though, I think that's just label nonsense. A lot of US bands have the same problem. I could rattle off a list, but we'd be here a while.

  15. Oh I haven’t heard that name in a long time. Some members went on to form Attack! Attack! (UK) iirc, who did some solid emo pop in the late 00s.

Was at Slam Dunk yesterday, they were fantastic. My wife didn't even realise it wasn't the same singer until he said.

  17. Uh guess their new Facebook post / instagram profile picture and bio change is basically them confirming Lucas as the new singer without explicitly saying it lol

Nvm this isn't as clear cut but fingers crossed anyway

I would be happy if Lucas joined FFAF in a part-time role, record an album with them, etc. I think he fits well.

They played 'Front Row Seats To The End Of The World' at Slam Dunk Festival on Saturday, and I can confirm it went OFF. Literally had shivers

Not very familiar with Holding Absense/Lucas...... but he kills it. Holy shit.

Dude sounds good, fair play. Pleased for him because he must've felt some pressure.

Everyone should check out Holding Absense. I'm surprised they are not talked about more on chorus

Yeah, he definitely killed it from the videos. The new energy is nice to see.

Just checked them out. It’s like it if Dayseeker and Young Guns merged together.
