I hope 2019 brings more activity from Nate (and Andrew - I feel like this is the second year he said he'd be releasing something then didn't)
I'm going to say it would sound like a more fleshed out version of Nate's solo album - but with more Aim & Ignite and Dog Problems instrumentation. That's my guess. I could be wrong. I just want a new album from The Format.
Would make sense. Sam Means' solo album meets Nate's. (Nate's album is better than it gets credit for in hindsight.)
I revisited it the other night and while at the time it came out it wasn't what I expected - I really enjoyed it. Really surprised "Ah Ha" didn't get a bigger push on radio.
I still, somehow, have never listened to Nate's solo album. I remember I bought it for my mom years ago though.
I enjoyed Nate’s album a lot more in 2015 than I do now. Still some songs that are among my favorite of his career but at least half of it I don’t care for anymore.
I'm at the same point with it as I was then... it's fine to ok, with Harsh Light being the only big standout
Honestly the only songs that I think slog a little are You Light My Fire, Great Big Storm, and Moment. I think the rest is all pretty fantastic, with AhHa, Take It Back, What This World Is Coming To, Grand Romantic, and Brightside all ranking among Nate's best. Edit: Just kidding Moment is also great. Great Big Storm has parts I really like but I just don’t care for the intro or chorus. You Light My Fire is fine, but that’s it.
So there’s an album on Apple Music called life is fun and it is attributed to fun. I have no idea what this is
