Oh yeah that one shows up. Weird that the other one says its only visible to a certain audience. Also, that's in like...4 days, how are they expecting people to show up?

 

Maybe I can see it because I live in California? Either way, it's all pretty bizarre

I wonder if this is the beginning of some sort of build up to something new. I can only hope.

 

Typically when someone plays a show after such a long time I would think yes, but this set list is basically identical to what he was playing last time around... I dunno

 

That's one of the worst sets I can imagine him playing.

 

I mean, it's basically the exact set he played the entirety of his solo touring life

 

It was a bad setlist then too haha

I just wish he didn’t play such a short set with so many covers

 

While I agree, he is also in a really weird place. He can't play TOO much fun., he can't play TOO much off his ill-fated solo debut, so he kinda has to play a shorter set with covers if he wants the momentum to keep going.

Or he can, you know, make more music!!

 

The Format reunion any time soon?

 

The set list seems very much like a stock corporate gig set list

 

I'd still go see that if it was near me tbh.

 

I mean I would be happy to see Nate play anything anywhere.

Different bands, but putting out Dog Problems then Aim + Ignite back to back might be my favorite two album stretch ever.

 

I've honestly never really listened to The Format. I love both Fun. albums though.

 

If you like Aim + Ignite, you should go listen to Dog Problems right now. One of my all-time favorites. I also love the Menzingers, specifically After the Party, so it should fall under your umbrella of taste.

 

I remember, back in like, 2004 my roommates were obsessed with The Format and I just got so sick of listening to their first album that I never even checked out Dog Problems. I remember initially I was hesitant to get into Fun. because I remember being so sick of The Format's first album so I didn't get into Fun. until about 2011.

I should really go back and check out The Format's albums.

 

Dog Problems is still my favourite album of Nate's. It's just perfect music.

 

Soooooo big congrats to Nate who got married.... A year ago today, haha. Congrats!!!

 

Nate has been having his time being a husband and father. I understand putting music on the backburner to really bond with his family. Cannot wait to hear what he does next because I honestly don't think he's done with music. I also have a feeling The Format will be back.

"Carry On" just the two of them, then joined by Ryan Lallier, Will Noon, Jeff Bhasker and Zach Carothers (Portugal the Man) for what sounded like a cover(?)

The irony is that I saw the clips on Emily Moore's instagram stories, who was in the fun. live band and Nate's solo band with Ryan and WIll

 

That's cool! It never seemed like any of them weren't getting along with Andrew haha
