Gunz is tweeting about how he wishes the Format and Fun. would reunite. Nate tweeted back. "There is next to no chance at either. I enjoy being happy! "
I understand that Fun. Is dead and never coming back, but I’m surprised he feels the same way about The Format.
Given that they tried to make it happen and a pandemic derailed it completely, I can understand being bitter at the idea of a reunion after it basically being associated with that. Probably not worth the stress he went through dealing with it all. It’s a bummer but I get it
Birthday Dad - TBA (2022, Refresh Records) • forum.chorus.fm anyone who misses The Format should check out my band, I made a record with horns and piano and strings because I love Dog Problems
selfishly I am still SO bummed about the whole thing, having held onto a ticket for so long, but my frustration is definitely not on Nate or Sam, it's on the pandemic haha
Yeah I’m especially pissed that it was cancelled during a time that literally no other show I had tickets for was cancelled lol
I feel like at one point, Nate probably reluctantly thought The Format reunion was a good idea, despite his hatred of the music industry. But I think that time has long since passed.
eh, I'm not going to blame Nate and Sam, two fathers, for being more cautious than other bands at the time. It's not on us to judge them for their level of safety comfort
I'll stay hopeful that he's talking in terms of a full on reunion and may still reschedule a small amount of Format shows again one day, just not with any new music or full tour (you don't need to tell me I'm wrong let me live in my fantasy)
I just hate that he hates his own band (fun.) that I really love their album so much. Got to admire it I guess, there's money bags just waiting and he has no interest.
Hah yea I got to see them twice (both for free circumstance) Id love to hear or see a full blown documentary about what happened to make him that upset/angry at the industry. I talk about him and fun. All the time with friends about "nates career was going up like a rocket and then....stopped" A full documentary. I want it

As said, I would be shocked if they ever reunite. I can see Dost collab with both. But not Ruess with Antonoff.
Eventually the money will be there and they will reunite. It just won’t happen while Jack is on the top of the producing world.
Based on context clues from Twitter I think Nate strongly dislikes Jack nowadays. Seems like they definitely had a fall out
