fun. (Official Thread) Band

Weird that there's not a thread for them. Playing Aim & Ignite for my class as they do work. First time listening in years. Still a very good album.

 

Aim & Ignite is one of my all-time favorite records. It breaks my heart to say, but I doubt we ever see new music from these guys. Jack Antonoff's career has gotten too big. Love Nate's voice with Jack's songwriting.

 

Aim & Ignite is my favorite album of all time. Honestly about time we made a thread for this, thank you @OhTheWater.

I've pretty much given up actively hoping for a fun. reunion (even though I will always be waiting for it). Bleachers has helped me be ok with it. At this point, I'm content with how things are, I just hope that we hear something from Nate again soon, and I'm also waiting for Andrew to release whatever new music he's been teasing for what feels like years.

 

I really miss this band.

 

Miss hearing Nate's voice a lot, I started following his girlfriend on Instagram (she's famous, it's not weird!!!) just to see pics of Nate and know that he's alive and well haha

What’s Nate been up to? Somehow ended up reading their whole wiki page and it still blows my mind how huge they were 2012/2013 and then just poof.. it seemed like they were the biggest band in the world then

I do miss his voice! Jack posted this morning that Strange Desire came out 4 years ago already, which blows my mind!

 

Holy shit that makes me feel old. That means if it came out the summer before someone starting their freshman year, they are now starting college next month.

Trampoline -> Gone Now, does Jack Antonoff have one of the most incredible runs ever?

 

Some Nights is better than A&I for me.

 

There are people that don't like Some Nights and there are people that are wrong.

Edit: I'm kidding. However I'm open to constructive criticism for the album since I think it's probably Nate's best work.

 

I love A&I and listen to it multiple times a year. I haven’t listened to “Some Nights” in a solid three years.
