His goons can basically 2 hit me and their stupid flashy spin moves are soooo annoying. My mimic tear gets wrecked so quickly. Really not sure how a melee build could win this fight without summoning.
i used one of the ashes with multiple avatars to distract his goons. i think the two skeletal militiamen because i had them upgraded the most
Northernlion took him down in 3 tries with a STR/VIG build. It’s hard but doable. Jump attacks are your friend.
The good thing is once you take down his minions he doesn’t spawn new ones unlike a certain other son of a bitch in Caelid
It’s a consumable that lets you charm enemies to fight for you, they’re craftable and some merchants sell them
I've stayed pretty isolated in my Elden Ring experience - there's probably a ton I don't know. I'm the furthest along of all my friends and I've generally been avoiding this thread and avoiding all lore videos on youtube until I finish my first playthrough. I'm at 86 hours of gameplay, and I've really been scouring the map for different mini dungeons and such.
this game is blowing my mind and i havent even played it in a few days (was busy plowing through devil may cry 5, which was fucking awesome)
Really the only bosses that can be said to have given me trouble were probably Astel, Radahn, Malenia, and phase 2 of the final boss. Pretty much every other boss I beat in like 5 tries or less.
maliketh was probably my biggest wall besides malenia. astel was extremely easy for me, radahn wasnt too bad. oneil and nial were also both pretty bad.
Maliketh was easy for me, but I Hoarfrost Stomped his ass. Radahn was the fucking bane of my existence (but it looks like they way over nerfed him). Malenia was a piece of shit until I fully cheesed her. I think the only boss I have left are the three rotten crystalians, and I don't think I even want to do that fight because fuck that and it's also boring.
hoarfrost was useless on maliketh for me since he spent the entire fight floating in the air about to strike. it was a good way to blast through phase 1 yeah but phase 2 it just didnt work for me
Fire giant fight shows how complete ass the camera/lock on mechanics in this game can be at times. Keeps deciding to switch to lock on to the giant body of the thing even though I have melee weapons out cause obviously that is what I want to do after it rolls Doesn't help that I nearly beat it my first try despite not having full potions going in (was literally like less than a millimeter of healthbar left but then it was up on a cliff and I fell off and was out of potions and got fireballed trying to get back up for the last hit) and then tried for another hour and best I got was like 90%. But its also not the only time the game decides to switch to locking onto some random ass enemy and fuck over combat.
