What level did you beat him? I beat him last night and was 23 at the time

 

Believe I’m lv 29 now. When I first attempted I was only 20

 

I’m a little underwhelmed with pure STR builds in this game tbh

 

Yeah I tried it about then and mostly got him down to 50% health (apart from one time I got him down to 10% somehow), came back 3 levels later with more summons and done it the second try haha

 

I have the jellyfish summon but I don’t have the whistle yet. Is Rennala timed before she shows up or do J have to do something

 

She still hasn’t shown up for me lol I just bought the summoning bell from the lady at the round table hold

Off the top of my head I wanna say 500 runes

 

Started a new character again just to try something.


You can start prisoner/astrologer, rush into Caelid to get an INT staff with S scaling (it’s just sitting on a corpse) that also boosts gravity spells and effectively kill most early bosses in like two casts of rock sling.

 

How many Demi God bosses are there? Curious if I’m more than half way into the story

holy shit I am bad at this game so far lol. And I've beaten Demon Souls and platinumed Dark Souls with relative ease. Really struggling with a 2 handed build right now. Had Margit down to nothing and died and then proceeded to die like 40 more times. Maybe I just have to level up and explore a little bit more first.

Game rocks though

 

If you're facing Margit before really exploring the first section of the map you're definitely gonna make things a lot harder than they need to be on yourself, haha.

 

go south. don't go to margit until you know what a mausoleum is.

 

I took down the Erdtree watchdog and the guy in the wolf cave pretty easily right off the bat but then started the following the main quest, definitely need to level up and explore a little bit more.

Weeping Peninsula? Just headed there now. Almost took down this runebear, can probably do it with a few more tries

What kupe said. The weeping Penninsula is the best first area you go to after getting your maiden and your summons.

 

I’ll go there next time I play. Don’t want to explore the castle just yet
