capital is even harder. I was around 65 when I beat Radahn.

I’m so far behind but skipped margit for now and enter Linurnia of the lake and this is so gorgeous. Working on beating Adan the fire thief or whatever lol

 

Not really far into the game at nine hours in, but I'm taking tomorrow off just to play and then go to a show. Found an area to grind and now up to lvl 31. With my dex and strength up, I'm loving the discounter for now. Reminds me of a sword I used in DS3.

Margit fight is fun just because the backdrop being the castle and it’s such a pretty sight to see

 

i switched uchigatana out for two longswords i picked up from some knights. i need the speed bro.

 

also lol i thought i could take out like five of the undead dudes just chilling and lo and behold a motherfucking dragon pops up. when i said i hopped on torrent so fast i truly cannot convey how fast i did that

 

finally got that thing holy shit he hit like a truck

Finally found the typical FromSoft boss that summons another actual player to help beat your fucking ass.

 

I probably say it for every game on the first playthrough, but this is the hardest game they’ve made (recently).

Also fucking hell are they stingy on runes. Fighting a massive enemy that fucks you up over and over, finally killing it and seeing it only gave you 350 runes is fucked.

 

Honestly, I think they do that because they have given us quite a few spots to farm.

 

major bosses grant you thousands of runes

 

I’m at the point now where I need about 40k runes per level and it’s definitely tedious.

Side bosses give about 15-20k. A few have given me 70k.

 

repetitive farming over rewarding you for conquering hard enemies is bad design imo. I’ve killed very few bosses that let me level up more than twice.

the game is a masterpiece and I’m in love with it, but had a pretty demoralizing night

 

Having some fun with this build right now: Blood Lordsworn Greatsword + 7 and the talisman that heals you after critical hits. Blood slashing everything then healing up with the shield counter
