tbh i feel rather accomplished and proud as a complete fromsoftware newbie that i was able to get the first two main story bosses down without ever feeling like it was going to be impossible. im sure the game has plenty of brick walls to throw on me and i def went through a lot of fucking pain in the grind up to those bosses and during those bosses but im just having the time of my life taking it all in. everything that can be said about this game has already been said from people who know much more what theyre talking about than i am, but i have to just say that i have been loving every single minute spent in the lands between. it is a peculiar, mysterious realm that has all the touches of dark fantasy that i fucking love to hook me in, and while the story isnt overtly in your face or easy to really parse whats actually going on, there is some sense of purpose and direction to your overall journey as a tarnished following the grace to eventually become and elden lord or whatever, on the surface it feels like theres nothing but as you move throughout the lands it feels very lived in, like it existed far before i booted up my computer today and will exist long after im dead. im taking my time with this one because the games gonna make me take my time one way or another, either wiping repeatedly or grinding repeatedly to ensure im powerful enough and have the means for my build to do maximum damage. tbh its nothing revolutionary the way elden ring puts tough bosses in front of you as a way to say hey, go get stronger and then come back, a lot of open world rpg's have been doing it for ages and they always get criticized for it, tbh its never bothered me since grinding to get good enough to defeat the big bads is kind of what the whole point of an rpg is to me anyway, but i do have to admit the way in which elden ring sets up this gameplay loop is a lot more natural than other games level gating.
Wtf I was fighting the dragon in three sisters and it despawned in the middle of the fight and won’t come back
yeah, but they usually respawn. This one didn’t. Also can anyone tell me where I should go after the Academy? I took the lift and they say I should go to the capital but this area seems pretty high level
I just picked up this helmet from a random knight I killed in the first castle and I love the long gray hair
So climbing the castle after Margit I died a few times to that big shielded knight in the dark room, and noticed afterwards I didn't get all my runes back (died with ~4500 got ~3500 back). Is that a result of that one encounter cause the room is dark or whatever?
As someone that found him to be one of the hardest bosses ever in a souls game, which ability? Cause he has like four that can automatically kills you I downed him last night
You can roll through it. You can also use the debris to block a few. He stops shooting the magic once you cross a certain threshold. Then the fun part starts
