Was feeling good as hell after cleaning up most of the starting area bosses + Margit, now getting my whole ass beat at Stormveil
Oh yeah stealth has been killer especially since it seems like they’ve been very favorable with how hard it seems to be noticed but god damn I keep hitting crouch.
I stopped right at the gates of the castle but so far I’ve been running a samurai of course and I use the uchigatana and my main focus has been dexterity and health. I’m spending the first part really trying to learn the mechanics of dodge rolling and all that stuff also backstabbing because even in dark souls I was bad at that.
For anyone passionate about fromsoft game lore, how do you usually tackle figuring it out and piecing it together?
lol wow just found out about patches. wouldve made my margit fight so much easier. also didnt summon the NPC because i thought it was an online player summon so didnt bother lol
Level 1 speed runs were so fun to watch in previous souls games can’t wait to see how speedrunners break this game to pull that off
Rune farming and location spoilers below holy shit that spot outside of the castle in dragon barrow is amazing for rune farming. 20k runes in 10 minutes and I took it slow.
can’t remember the name but top right of Caelid, there’s a bridge with a site of grace at the end. Between that site and the castle there’s a bunch of small enemies that are easy to kill, even easier with a backstab, and give >1000 runes. They hit quite hard though Edit: bestial sanctum
Not only do I crouch all the time I dismount off torrent all the time by accident during combat I hate it.
This area is money. Just be careful, they have a magic ability that has a large AOE and can kill you instanly.
Time a dodge well and it leaves open a huuuuuge backstab window too if I’m thinking of the right attack. Either way, they’re pretty slow so sneaking around is easy enough.
Its pretty damn easy to backstab those little things. If you crouch and run they have terrible awareness unless they are looking straight at you
yep, but some of the walk in close pairs so it's worth knowing they hit hard but leave themselves open for backstabs while doing so.
