On PS5 I’ve had a lot of texture popping issues, severe image grain, and occasional frame rate dips. Nothing that I’d be nuking the score about, but it’s noticeable.
I’m really wishing I went faith instead of int, incantations seem way better than must spells I have and there’s a million talismans and faith teachers
I mentioned it earlier in this thread but having 5 different platforms the game needed to be on is way too much. It stretched them thin to have 5 different versions that are expected to run near perfect. I can't wait until companies don't feel the need to release games for the decade old consoles.
Tbh it’s running beautifully on my PC so far, maybe a handful of instances of stuttering but that’s about it. Not even much pop in from what I’ve seen really.
It looks like they addressed the PC stuff first and foremost, steam reviews are a powerful influence lol
Third legacy dungeon is peak souls pain. also found the castle to be much harder than the second dungeon.
Too slow to respond to this. Started as prisoner and going dex/int. when adding ashes of war, does it cancel out my previous skill on the weapon? For example, will it replace the spinning slash on my twin blade? And if so, does that mean ashes of war are generally better suited for weapons without a skill?
Just loving the exploration and random stuff you’ll find out in the world. Near the point of grace by the first bandit camp there’s a wooded area by a bridge. There’s a decent amount of trees and somebody is talking to me. Yet I can’t see them lol and all these messages say seek tree etc. I don’t see anyone in the tree either
It will cancel it out but you can switch back and forth between them, also arts of war can enhance your scaling depending on the affinity. All weapon Affinities in Elden Ring and what they do Looks like a keen affinity will enhance your DEX For me i'd rather have an ashe of war for the affinity than for the skill but I guess it depends on a lot of factors. If you like the default skill stick with it but chances are you are missing out on making it better from an affinity.
the unsheathe power attack on the katana is absolutely fucking filthy and i was only able to take down that bloodhound knight fucker once i realized how much damage it really does
It will give you a notification asking if you meant to remove it or not. Its a nice added feature and not all Ashes of War work with all weapons. Also, how do we equip Talismans?
Just a reminder literally ANYTHING can kill you in these games. This is a potential controller throwing moment for some.
Random thoughts as I push into the second half of the game - the difficulty GREATLY increases. I thought I was on a good pace but some guides suggest players being 60+ for mid game bosses and dungeons. - dungeons get absolutely insane. I won’t spoil anything but god speed to everyone. - I still haven’t found any fuckin armor
