Man it’s so surreal seeing that stuff. Kind of shocked this is actually happening.

Very very cautious still with Garland behind it especially after Civil War. Would’ve been thrilled after coming off Annihilation era. Yet here we are.

His complete disregard for the novel Annihilation is based off of has me a bit worried about him adapting anothers work, and it's basically impossible to make a movie that would do the game justice but I'm very curious and those props look legit.

    Also Civil War rules

yeah Im good on that, also very skeptical of the Garland Elden Ring movie tbh. Some things like souls and metal gear only work in the form of video games and thats ok. Not everything needs a show/movie.

I'd be curious if Miyazaki is involved or gave his blessing. He's been pretty clear that Bloodborne is his favorite thing he's done, and supposedly won't allow Sony to do anything with it without his involvement (which is why there hasn't even been a remaster yet).

That said, releasing that news without even showing a hint of the art style is not promising.

Just a heads up, there is A LOT of footage from set leaking already. Like...they haven't locked that shit down at all. Footage of them filming scenes and stuff

and it looks really faithful. Kind of wild

Yeah I read that they're just filming out in public so big crowd are showing up to watch. Some cool and very accurate looking stuff. From what I've seen so far I think they're recreating or expanding on the opening/intro cutscene about all the Empyreans.

I started replaying Dark Souls 2 because I haven't played it in like 10 years and I never played the SotFS version. It sucks. Bad game

I had a really good time with it. However I co-op’d the whole thing with an online friend whom played it before. He was able to guide our experience and it was a ton of fun vibing with the world while playing with him. Plus I already heard it was a step down from DS1 so I went in with lower expectations.

There are indie Soulslike clones that are more polished than DS2

Y'all i just got past Genichiro in Ashina Castle last night on my first Sekiro playthrough and let me tell you, this might end up as one of my favorite Fromsoft games once all is said and done. I ended up stepping back from that fight after like 30 attempts, went back to explore and get my stats up a bit, more skills, and experience with other bigger early bosses like Lady Butterfly. Things really started to click for me with that Lady Butterfly fight which I ended up getting on my 2nd try (somehow). Went back to Genichiro feeling way more confident the next day and he was a breeze compared to my first try where I had only been able to get a single deathblow on him. This might be the most satisfying 'git good' experience I've had since Bloodborne when I figured out the sweet spot for parry timing in that game. Also narrative-wise its a breathe of fresh air getting a story laid out a bit more directly, obviously plenty of hidden lore but I feel like I generally have a better understanding of what is happening in this game vs any other souls games without having to rely on item descriptions. I think this is one of their best settings outside of Yarnham. Also having a voiced protag for once is a huge plus for me!

Sekiro is my fav game of all time and always will be. Nothing will top the grueling yet rewarding experience and the fucking euphoria of finally beating it.

Fuck I need to play it again.

Genichiro may be one of my fav boss battles of all time. Same experience. It felt like such an impossible wall but hitting the counter on that lightning move and beating him with near 0 health left was a thrill

I’ve been thinking about doing another play through soon too to wrap up some trophies and take on some bosses that I skipped. It’s definitely the game that I think about the most since beating it a couple years ago.

I just played DS3 for the first time last month. I shockingly breezed through most of the game until the twins absolutely humbled me. Definitely the boss that gave me the most trouble, even more so than TNK. An insanely good game that I should have played much earlier.

After DS3, I downloaded Demon Souls but only made it a few hours before calling it quits. The hub and spoke design and world tendency stuff just didn’t work for me and I feel like they could’ve added a few more QoL features to the remake. No stamina usage outside of combat would’ve done wonders.

I decided to go back to my Elden Ring NG+ run since I never finished it after playing through the DLC. I didn’t do everything but I did go for the frenzied flame ending and beat Malenia for the first time solo which felt really good. The frenzied flame platforming section was driving me nuts until I realized that it’s best to just jump at the wall above the platforms rather than aiming for the platforms themselves. Sounds obvious probably haha but that made it much easier for me. I’m planning on going for all bosses and all graces across the base game and SOTE in my NG+2 run but probably won’t start that for a bit.

I’m so happy my friend convinced me to give Elden Ring a go when it came out. It’s opened a whole new world of peak gaming experiences for me.

Picked up my last Sekiro save after the last few posts. I had been trying to get the Return ending but it’s so convoluted
