Been playing my level 1 run of DS3 recently after getting sidetracked around the Abyss Watchers and I've actually made some decent progress. Was starting to think these kinds of runs werent for me, but then I beat Pontiff and it all came together. Currently grinding out Oceiros (worst boss in the game?) but hopefully itll be done soon.
almost done with Bloodborne. 2 bosses left essentially (Gehrman and Orphan) Maybe I'll dabble in NG+ before Kazhan drops.
Super goofy looking Bloodborne esque Switch 2 exclusive. Miyazaki is directing, but it’s rumored to be an online multiplayer game like Nightreign
That looks like it could be cool but "online multiplayer" immediately makes me hiss like a vampire in light. The dude in the steampunk ironman suit flying across the map was so funny though.
oh shoot also this, Elden Ring will be available on Switch 2 this year with some new armor and you get Torrent outfits. Post makes it sound like it will be available for purchase on the existing platforms, wish they'd just make it a free update:
So many people claiming that From Software is lame and just doing cash grabs now and past their prime based off of this reveal and Nightreign. Gamers need to get lives.
I don't know, outside of the weird moon thing I feel like that trailer just lacked any interesting designs. Like the big ending was a dude wearing long johns holding an axe. And doing two online multiplayer games (especially a battle royale ) is a bummer. Means we're likely not getting another single player game until 2027 and with the Elden Ring switch edition, they said the extra armor pieces/Torrent designs can be purchased for other platformers. If that's not a translation error, adding microtransactions to games while making online multiplayer games would make me worried
They literally just put out a massive ER expansion last year. They are definitely working on other projects. Theres nothing to read into about them doing another multiplayer game. They want to challenge themselves to new concepts. They’ll still be putting out single player experiences in the future.
If this trend were to continue for another couple years I'd start to get worried about them but as of now, I think they've earned the benefit of the doubt.
Beat Nameless King level 1 this afternoon. Guy was a brick wall for me first time through but it only took me about an hour of trying this time. Was in disbelief the whole last fifth of his health
What weapon did you use? I remember when I did my NK level 1 fight I switched weapons repeatedly, I think I ended up settling on morningstar
Yeah that weapon is really good, I used it for a lot of my run. Switched to the DS Axe and morningstar here and there (and have no shame in admitting I did the cheese strat for Halflight with whatever that weapon was) Hell yeah on killing Nameless King that fast, way faster than I did tbh
Finally fired up Shadow of the Erdtree (I found a DLC-ready save on Nexusmods) and I am blow away by it all. The eerie atmosphere, the almost BotW like lack of structure, the gorgeous vistas... and my god, after playing nothing but soulslike for months now, I can't believe how refined Elden Ring is.
