Yeah I eventually got phase I down to a science with her but man is she fast, pretty much a bloodborne npc fight. Took a bit of adjustment to my usual counter timing. The thing with phase II that screwed me was my own lack of patience and having a hard time separating the 2 for long, so it was just time consuming having to run in circles constantly. Found that letting her heal wasn't so bad if I just punished Ariandel and staggered him. At least then shes not spamming me with ice. The real challenge was phase 3 for obvious reasons. Frankly think if the entire fight was just the 1st and 3rd I'd like it more but thats just me. Can totally understand why a lot of people hold it in high regard.
Beat the Midir fight over Christmas break and while I wasn't very excited about it at first since I heard he was a damage sponge, I think I love this fight almost as much as Bayle mechanically speaking. Just challenging enough for me where I died a few times learning most of his move timing and then I got into the groove of things. The lasers were probably the most challenging thing for me to avoid. Felt super fair as solo fight though and the health pool really wasn't as bad as I expected going in. Definitely up there in my top dragon boss fights with Bayle, Fortissax, & Placidusax. Also finished DS3 off with the Soul of Cinder who was a bit of a pushover after I beat all the DLC bosses. Now I'm going back to do a fresh Bloodborne run to finally beat all the DLC bosses there.
I keep running into bosses, getting obliterated, and leaving to explore elsewhere. Currently have Putrescent Knight, Commander Gaius, Ralva the Great Red Bear, and Scadutree Avatar in need of beating.
I didn’t really think I was gonna like First Berserker Khazan at the start but man one of the bosses is really giving me a run for my money (Blade Phantom). The parts of the demo before this were pretty straightforward but this feels kinda like a fast paced bloodborne boss but you only get 3 heals. Like a textbook fromsoft skill check. If there’s more high quality ones like this in the full game then Ill m definitely end up getting it.
Beat the last 2 bosses of Lies of P tonight. I had heard the last one in particular was pretty challenging so Im surprised how quickly I got through it. Green Monster took me 2 days but these guys were relatively simple. Good game! Got a little burned out around chapter 9 but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot.
Any one else get a chance to play in the Nightreign network test? Any thoughts? Dont think this game does it for me currently, but I do realize its just a demo so take what I say with a grain of salt. Things may change a bunch by the time its out. I got probably 4 runs in but never got past the day 2 boss for one reason or another, so never got the big boss. I have a lot of thoughts but generally think the game could use some tweaks to the pacing, inventory management, and leveling. Wish the days cycles were a bit longer for more exploration/discovery/leveling up. Don't like how items are handled with such a fast pace. You can barely carry any and using them is annoying since you have to use up on the D-pad to activate. Each level you gain feels substantial but I don't think theres currently enough time to regularly get up to decent level by the end. May end up getting this at a discount down the line but not sure its a game for me.
After around 6/8 months of playing co-op with my friend. We are finally ready to take on DLC Radahn. Its been a journey and we're not sure what we will co-op next but this has been incredible.
We had some bad weather over the weekend and my internet was down during the only session that would’ve worked for me so I missed out. The release date isn’t far off so I’m not too bummed. I’ve recently had the itch to replay Shadow of the Erdtree and it sucks that it’s not possible without first playing through a good chunk of the base game. I wish consoles would give us an option for keeping a backup of specific saves.
Absolutely loved Nightreign. Beat the final boss of the network test with about 1 hour to spare before it ended. Took a few sessions to get into the swing of things (especially how fast paced it is with choosing your weapons and items on the fly) but overall had a great time with it. Obviously it’s nothing like Elden Ring, but if you’re up for a different kind of challenge and skill set I think ER players would enjoy it and have enough familiarity with the combat and systems to enjoy it
It may have taken 6-8 months whilst co-oping with a friend (one boss in my world, one in theirs and switch) but we were Elden Lords now. Including DLC. What a journey!!
I modded myself a baby version of Bloodborne (Blood Vials and ammo work like Estus Flasks) and Statues of Marika before every boss. It's a really enjoyable way to play it. I'm doing it without summons and just beat Margo's Wet Nurse on my first try. Very proud of myself haha. Then got my ass kicked by the 2nd phase of Ludwig so now I'm going to bed.
idk, are you brave enough to torrent? haha I simply don't know of a safe way to send you 40gb worth of ripped ISOs. it's extremely easy to set up.
